possibly. I think if he had come here he would have hit the ground running. I do think he will come good and start to impose himself on games. he’s way too good not to.
I see the media are now convinced arsenal can't win a thing without a new no 9. nothing to do with the fact city are just better than them, nor the fact they failed to build the squad defensively. raya was an improvement white is not an rb and never will be. Gabriel is not that good and should have been upgraded they played Jesus at lw not Smith Rowe which is ****ing stupid. guess what. when they bought havertz we all said thst is moronic signing. who was playing v spurs? Vieira one of the other 3 players in the same position lol. 2-2 in a top 6 clash is not awful. the media are prone to wild exaggerations when infact city will just piss the league again to the tune of 95 odd points. not every club can do a Chelsea on funds and arsenal ran out of cash. they only have raya on loan til next year for ffp reasons. we all need to just get a bit real with the demands for instant improvements. arsenal have a good set up that should be optimised and prevent arteta having too many of one type of player he likes (10s)
I still have the feeling that Arsenal is going to implode this season. Their best chance to win the league was last year and they blew it.
a lot of very foolish players have taken the cash at cheslea and their agents were happy with the quick killing they made. in effect these agents have gambled that either that's the last payment they get out of the player or cheslea will flog them soon enough. if we compare the amount of chaos around a caicedo to what's around szoboszlai then there's a reason why our 22 year old has had a good start a) he was strategically targeted b) he got a full preseason c) he's got Jones and macallister who at least know the league beside him, salah in from and trent behind so has continuity and can do his thing. even compare to gravenberch who will now need to learn the team and tactics over months in season and you can see why getting the player in early and being strategic really helps. gravenberch is the icing on klopp's cake. he's delighted to get him but was told no earlier in the window. the contrast to cheslea is total chaos nobody k owing who might play or be important or when they arrive. the amount of serious injuries hints at a serious level of player mismanagement as well. if Chelsea win anything at all in the next 2 seasons it'll be seen as a vindication of this madness. it'll require chelsea vast improvement and luck in the cup draws and city implosion.
their team lacks balance. the cbs are still not all that and the dm situation is a little bare compared to all the attacking minded cms. it's no better than our situation but we have our forwards sorted
We are playing Tottenham on Saturday, tea time kick off. Tottenham have no midweek game.It is going to be a tough game, if not a draw , unbeaten run of someone will come to an end. I hope it's not us !.
Yes. He's a good player, but worth half - if that - what Chelsea paid for him. Incredible that we stumped up that £111m (from where?) just to get humiliated because we hadn't done our homework with his agent. But it's mostly Lavia that I have a tinge of regret about, though he's nowhere near £58m either, even before his injury. The curse of Timo Werner on both of them.
people who chose money over sense (and any player choosing Chelsea having done 15mins research choses money) deserve to have the career that they've let themselves in for.
Sometimes good players are stifled by their surroundings and only come good once they leave. As always, it remains to be seen. His stats are looking awful atm. Last game - 1 tackle, 0 interceptions, won 1 of 6 one on ones and dribbled past 3 times. Those aren't signs of someone imposing themselves on a game. He can't continue like this but how long the slump lasts is anyone's guess.
I'm sure it's quite difficult to adapt to a madhouse like Chelsea. I doubt he even has had much of a conversation with pochettino at this point.
Certainly our biggest challenge so far this season. We've played some decent teams, but no one who is likely top four yet.
spurs have the "**** enough to lose the league Cup and are not in Europe" card to play but we have the mega squad card to play kelleher gomez matip quansah tsimikas Elliott endo gravenberch/Clark doak gakpo jota not one of them will start v spurs Saturday. not one ain't it nice to be back in the quad era squad situation not the hapless lucky to be 5th blip season?
