The usual caveat about not shooting the messenger...

I am told this by a member of the owning syndicate but it is still a maiden; and they are planning to send it to the sales as it has been a bad investment.

Newcastle 8:00 – Go Sing: very moderate animal tried over a variety of trips from 5f to 7f lately, running off a career low 53 tonight.

I would have to be worried about trainer form as well: just 2 winners from 27 runners this month for Camacho, although the latest was the Ayr Gold Cup and a few have placed.

Beverley 545 josiebond goes of the same mark as last win at c/d in soft conditions , they go with a 7lb claimer today .
So the 33s on offer looks very good with 4 places.

    Very strange that one...

Last Wednesday the going was Soft (Heavy in places) at Beverley. It then rained intermittently most of the afternoon yet they got through the whole card.

This Tuesday the going was Soft at Beverley. It rained stair rods half of the morning (I got soaked going to the shops) yet the meeting started. They then ran all of the first six races – including the penultimate race over 7 furlongs around the bottom bend – and then abandoned the last race over a mile around the same bend.

<doh> When they send that donkey to the sales, they had better hope that there is someone there from the local glue factory, the local pet ford factory and a representative of some rural French restaurant. It ran to its form – third last.

They punted it from 14/1 down to 8/1 so whatever it cost is not the only money lost. If it runs for them again then I won’t bother passing any information along...
