I think maybe this is a little early and I have jumped in to do it. I don't think anyone wants to write about Southampton FC, let alone manage us. Leeds are a good side and will likely give us problems. I am probably here as a one-off. That said, we have a great group of kids and they need our support. I think RM needs to let them loose a little. SAA and Edozie are two incredible bright sparks and maybe he is going to have to trust them. They can't do any worse than the experienced players. In midfield, we need to stick with Charles, Smallbone and Downes. They won't get better if we chop and change. We have great weapons off the bench and we need to make use of them as the opposition tires. For that we have to be more solid. My issue is Che Adams. He isn't offering enough. He isn't leading. I would give someone else a shot, probably Mara. Can we keep the moaning about RM off this thread though? I am getting depressed reading it all and I am not sure it is actually totally fair.
Thought the difference in play between Adams and Colburn was telling. Colburn played as a CF and stayed up, causing our defence real problems. Che drifted around and rarely led the line, often playing in mid field. THB has probably never played against a.bustling, direct CF. Too used to mopping up behind a strong midfield at City. edit: Just realised this should be on the Boro thread.
I don't think that is it. He played for Sheffield Utd last season and they really liked him. But I suspect he had a strong, vocal partner.
We are a joke. Be surprised if Leeds score less than 4. Can genuinely see it being another 9-0. That is how bad we are under Martin.
Their attack will be better than most we've come across. They'll score at least 3, and Piroe is bound to get a couple.
Piroe will definitely score, just a case of how many. Leeds will definitely be confident in this one.
Defend deep, soak up pressure, stick Sulemana, Adarma, and Fraser up front, and just get CHARLY F*CKING ALCARAZ to ping long balls up for them to chase. Gotta start acting like a bottom half Championship side sooner or later.

Yeah he was a part of the team that walked the league, with the best defence I think. Burnley fans wanted to sign him permanently but we priced them out of the deal allegedly. Doesn’t look like he is the issue defensively based on his career so far.
