skysports understands wanderers are close to signing striker ollie palmer
    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11766/7313270/

i think a new striker is a good idea, as i feel benyon, strevens and possibly rendell are not good enough. however, he is unproven and having two young strikers (him and ibe) could be either fantastic or two "up and coming" players
    thoughts?

I think we should sign him if we can, there's no point in thinking we're going to get another 20 goal a season league 1 striker as a) they won't come to us because of the position we're in and b) we can't afford it.

Unfortunately we need to make do with what we've got, get some young ones in on loan and hope they come good or cherry pick the lower leagues in the hope we'll find a gem. Hopefully this could be the answer.

    Keep the faith.

He's worth taking a chance on, there's plenty of quality players in non-league who just need an opportunity. Like Jock says, we're not going to be able to get a proven championship/league 1 striker and this guy could well turn into a Steve Morison or Charlie Austin.

Agreed. There were a couple of strikers in the Fleetwood team who put ours to shame. There is a lot of hidden talent out there and it often doesn't show up until they come up against higher League teams in the FA Cup. I would have scouts at all FA cup matches where a non league side is up against a league side.

If this lad signs we should give him our full support, as we should all the other players. CMON THE BLOOS!
