Morton - Blown away how good he was. Connolly - Getting more and more worried about that 1 year contract Allsop - Great assist and some great saves.
Great team effort and everyone played their part . 1. Connelly - a goal , an assist and for being a pest . 2. Allsop - some important saves which stopped the tide turning 3. Seri - an experienced head in the middle who passed and tackled well . Morton had a great full debut and showed he is our best corner taker . Well done boys Come on City
Allsop- for both his saves and his distribution. Connolly- a nuisance upfront which I love. Philogene - lads got some pace and he’ll create some chances over the season.
Great team performance. Could pick pretty much any of the players on the pitch for us today...... but as I need to choose, here goes Allsop - not too much to do but made crucial saves when needed and great pass to Connolly. Connelly - goal, assist and never stopped running and chasing. Morton - excellent throughout. As always, special mention to our travelling support. UTT
Morton - I can’t see Liverpool ever letting him go, but he is a class act. I stated before that he has to start, and he made a big difference in the midfield IMHO. Allsop - Surely, it must obvious to everyone now, why LR brought him in. And I mean that with no disrespect to Matt Ingram, who can learn from this. Connolly - gets better and is clearly enjoying himself in our team. I hope that lasts. Should have had a go at Seri off the pitch though. terrific guys… any chance of doing this at home now please?
To be fair after a team performance like that's its difficult to just pick 3, 1. Philogene - this lad has all the attributes to be a serious player, works hard, has a trick, has vision, a real joy to watch. 2. Morton - I'm kinda blown away by this lads confidence and vision on the ball, no wonder they don't want to let him go, another that the world is his horizon if he keeps improving. 3. Allsop - like many I wasnt convinced when LR brought him in but you can certainly see why, excellent distribution, Nd a couple of excellent and very important saves which allowed us to build. Having said that I thought the whole team did a wonderful job today, even when they brought Wesley on while struggling with his physicality, they kept at it. LR deserves some plaudits too today, got the selection right, and tactics spot on. Really enjoyable watch that, top effort lads
Hardest selection of the season... Morton, im sure he's thirty but just looks 19 Connolly for his passion closing down not necessarily the goal Allsop, kudos whoever scouted him. and then Philogene for all parts of his game Traore did a lot of things really well today and his confidence must be sky high now... LR has some problems now, of the every manager would love to have kind...
Allsop Connolly Morton As with most others so far, I wanted to go with these three but couldn’t decide in what order, so copped out and went alphabetical.
Connelly Doing whats needed (goals and assists) up top consistently Allsop good feet & passing as was expected, but big saves have been excellent again today Morton Should be here to stay in centre midfield with Seri after today's efforts Another game where everyone on the pitch had been good for us over the 90+ minutes
