Onana is up for best keeper award 22/23, that's it. Here's FIFA'S current top ten goalkeeper rankings. PLAYER NAME AGE CLUB VALUE WAGE STARTING OVR POTENTIAL OVR Thibaut Courtois 30 Real Madrid €90M €250K 90 91 Manuel Neuer 36 Bayern Munich €2.6M €69K 89 89 Alisson 29 Liverpool €79M €190K 89 90 Jan Oblak 29 Atletico Madrid €79M €100K 89 90 Ederson 28 Manchester City €78M €210K 88 90 Gianluigi Donnarumma 23 Paris Saint Germain €103.5M €110K 88 92 Marc-Andre Ter Stegen 30 FC Barcelona €68.5M €210K 88 89 Mike Maignan 27 AC Milan €73M €91K 87 89 David De Gea 31 Manchester United €42M €150K 87 87 Yassine Bounou 31 Sevilla €33M €33.5K 85 85 Did you spot Onana? That's because he's currently ranked 24th just behind Ramsdale at 22nd and Remiro at 23rd.
After some research I can say that Onana has never been ranked in the top 5 goalkeepers by FIFA or anyone else. (This season he's at 24th, last season he was at 30th.) As I said above, he's in contention for FIFA goalkeeper of the season last season based on his performance last season. Alisson hasn't been ranked outside the top 5 keepers for at least 5 years, I didn't look any further back. In reply to another question asked about Onana's shot percentage saved, he's currently 13th out of 20.
does any of these stats and nice defences really matter. the evidence of your eyes is all you really need. with alisson you know he will drop nothing, palm nothing, and do the basics of keeping with excellence. with karius you were just waiting for the error or a ball dropped right put in the middle of the goal. de gea was weak st his near stick, has a bad error in him and was not for coming out off his line or passing it about etc. onana does come.out, but is extremely rash and doesn't execute the basics well. there's lots of examples of the ball going through him or being flat footed and getting caught out. you only need look with your own eyes to see an eccident waiting to happen.
I don't have the advantage of having watched him play so I have no personal opinion on him. I'm good at c&p though.
you'd have seen him playing us in the cl for ajax. he looks exactly the same, very risky, no focus amd frankly every game thisnseas9n for utd has the same issues.

I don't remember seeing him. Maybe I didn't see the Ajax games. From what I've just been reading, he had an outstanding CL campaign, which is why he's up for the award, no doubt. And possibly why ten Hag thought he'd reignite their relationship.
Man U have 6 points - they really deserve only 4, assuming Wolves could score from the spot. Onana would have cost Utd the win there if there was any justice. He really hasn't impressed much. He seems the very definition of a dodgy keeper - some good saves but too many errors.
He deserved it as well. City usually get away with everything, but it appears the ref did not get his envelope this morning!
utd sucker punch Burnley. vital goal that right at ht. am I the only one who would have sent gibby white off as well as Rodri?
Decent goal by Utd, but against the run of play and Burnley dominated the first half which is a bit embarrassing for Utd
Burnley look like gonna play some nicer football and maybe get some results against lower teams (striker being sent off last game hasn’t helped). But they don’t seem like gonna be a tough horrible place to visit for clubs like it was under dyche where was long ball physical game.
