That crossed my mind but then I don't think we should be changing the system to accommodate a new player particularly one who is essentially here to prove himself on a short term contract. It would then leave us with the question of who else to pull from the 11.

Suspect we might see him against wolves in a switched up back line.

I find Wolfy's positional sense to be sus at times and he is too casual at times. I like Bigals idea

The weakness at the back that everyone who does their homework exploits at the moment is Clarke.

We didn't look especially great down the left either this afternoon, but maybe that was Davis carrying a knock from last week.

That’s fair comment. There might be a case for us playing a bit deeper when we’re two or more goals up.

I didn't watch the game but heard as has been the case alot this season Clarke was all over the place defensively and heard Woolfy actually did very well to cover him many occasions.

I actually think his positional sense is one of his strengths, its usually so good he looks like he's strolling through a match. Admittedly he hasn't looked quite as strong as he did last season and perhaps that's part him, part the increase in quality of the opposition but also he doesn't look quite as comfortable without the presence of Walton behind and attacks coming down what looks like a weak link on the right hand side all season.

Amazing game and well worth the 3 1/2 hours each way travelling (multiple bus replacement services yesterday). Both teams just went at each other which was a joy to see but obviously even better that we came away with the win. The back line as a whole wasn’t great yesterday - combination of individuals not at their best and the quality of the opposition. Only downside was Morsy picked up his 5th booking of the season so misses the Huddersfield game. I wonder if his reputation proceeds him and because the referee sees it’s him that’s made a foul, automatically books him. We do have strength in depth these days so not the end of the world. Happy days being a town fan at the moment

Watching back the goals. Clarke inexplicably stops for the first one, scores the second one and then the close range effort that Hladky saves is Clarke losing his man again. Against Cardiff and Leeds it was the same story.

I’m sorry but it’s time for Williams to come in and take over that position until Clarke, who has other brilliant attributes, learns how to defend.

Clarkes enthusiastic, gets forward, and likes a shot at goal as shown yesterday, but some reason his defencive discipline has gone to hell this season, it was obvious that Blackburn had a plan to attack our right side from the start and Clarke was all over the place until he got some help, Blackburns goals were defendable although their first and third goals were very good and a limping Davis in the second half didnt help.
So it was a pulsating match with some great football being played and P R errupted when Massimo scored our fourth goal to seal victory but weve now conceded nine goals in three home matches, something for McK to ponder no doubt.

Watched the replay and while Walton commands his area far better than Hladky, and he doesnt perhaps give confidence to his defense, Vaz has made some top saves in that second half. I thought he had an erratic day today, some good saves, and got down to some low crosses really quickly, but his passing today was not good, put us in trouble more than once and ended up going long a lot more than we are used to, probably having lost a bit of confidence in his short game.

However, playing the ball out as KM has encouraged out is a big risk. But with Blackburns high aggressive press, it invited trouble. So it is a risk but it's measured and managed and part of our current success that's never failed for us. He is performing exceptionally well as a stand in and exceeding all expectations, and a lot of people saying this week that the shirt it is his to lose. But I would still be happier with Walton between the sticks.

Clarke is a mixture of very strong coming forward but poor at defending and getting caught out too often. Maybe time for Williams to start. I thought Davis should have been managed better too. Needs 2 weeks rehab.

Luongo was awesome and so pleased for Hirst & Broadie and wen he came on, Hutchinson was a joy to watch.

7 goals scored at PR, and we still came out tops! But, as FM says, food for thought for KM!

Now skipping the Cup to Huddersfield,Morsy predictably out, chance for a rest, so midfield, perhaps time for a Taylor & Luongo combo. The Cup offers game time for Ball & Humphreys, & Baggot perhaps.

    My team for Wolves

Slicker - Ball, Humphreys, Edmundson, Baggott - Morsy, Taylor - Hutchinson, Aluko, Harness - Ladapo.

Some stats fan says if we get 10 more points we equal our last Championship season total, madness aint it!
