I think the line up looks better, but then I thought that last week. It is all down to the tactics really. It looks like a more sensible and leas kamikaze setup. I don’t think we need Charly. We need some level heads.
So at least he’s made some changes, but it’s still a bit odd. Glad to see Centre Backs at Centre Back and Midfielders in Midfield. Stu Armstrong and Alcaraz must be buzzing the **** out of their agents. Edozie must be puzzled having been our best starting player across the last two games.
Unless its Charles, Harwood-Bellis and Bednarek in a back 3 with Holgate and Walker-Peters playing wingbacks. I wouldn't be against this either.

I'm a big fan of Alacaraz, but I think DTLW is right. If he doesn't listen to tactics and play his "role" in the team, then we're effectively playing with a disadvantage.
His choices with Edozie confuse the hell out of me really. Our best player first half against both Leicester and Ipswich and the first (uninjured) man brought off in both games, now dropped today. Unless he’s nursing something, I don’t get it.
Be interested to know if he has learnt the language yet. Must be extremely difficult playing when you can't understand anyone on your team.
It is somewhat perplexing that given RMs obsession with being ‘brave’ recently, Edozie drops out when he has been the ‘bravest’ (and best) attacker in the last few games. Also if it is back 5/3, wouldn’t you play Manning still as although he maybe doesn’t have the pace for it (is Holgate any quicker?), it gives him more freedom to attack (which has been his one redeeming quality thus far) and more cover when he does gets forward. Edit: I’d also argue SAA was incredibly ‘brave’ and he’s been dropped back to the youth team.

Yeah let's not forget that Selles spoke Spanish. Jones did too (though I think Charly was only here for such a short time before the NJ nightmare was over)
I think some of you want too much. We ask him to stop the Kamikaze stuff and he picks a thoroughly sensible team and you all moan. Lineups are secondary to attitude so let’s see.

We don't really play with a 10 unless Charly is playing. It's more a 6 (Charles) and two 8s (Smallbone and Downes).
That would make more sense, yes. I don't hate Adarma wide left, and I do think this team should be enough to beat a poor Boro, but we don't make it easy for ourselves sometimes.
Lessee if we can keep a clean sheet for the first few mins again. Not asking for a clean sheet, just one for at least 45-60 mins. #Babysteps
