    A point is point and better than the loss this could easily have been so sufficient reason for a couple of Strongbows tonight

    I love Kakay when he bombs forward but he is such a liability at the back.
    We really need a stronger right back - hope the American lad is up to it

    Not sensational but both teams had one really good chance to win it and several ok ones in an even game. Considering the resources of the two clubs it was good enough for me.

    Only thing I'm worried about apart from the left side of our defence is where the goals are gonna come from. Just can't see us scoring alit, unless Colback is meant to be the attacking threat from midfield. Chair and Willock( if he's gonna play) have to start chipping in consistently.

    Like what Begovic said after the game, and according to Ainsworth he's the most humble bloke ever and great in the dressing room ! That's the sort of player I want to see playing for my team ! Now just find 1 Taarabt and we're sorted

    Gone very chilly in Brum.

    Fair result, two poor teams but no faulting the effort on our part. Dykes put a massive shift in playing in a position I couldn’t identify until he went up front when Armstrong went off. Armstrong a handful for the deeply average (as we know) Sanderson. Chair is so nearly a very good player, but….Smyth started very strongly. We started and finished the game well, but on occasion, especially first half it was like the Somme in defence, bodies flying everywhere. Then there was 15 minutes in the second half where we continually gave them the ball back as soon as we won it. Was it me or was Dozzell playing deeper than Field, who got forward a bit in the second half?

    Anyway, happy with a point and a nice day out, plus a weekend with no QPR stress to look forward to.

    I don’t think Ainsworth is getting the credit he deserves. I had us written off before the season started (and again after the Watford game) but Ainsworth has built a ‘team’ with some astute signings. We’ll be bottom half but I don’t see us going down, I’ll take that.

    Scoring goals is a massive challenge for this team. We need there to be several very poor teams in this league and we need to beat them when we play them. It’s possible but very early days.

    It was good to see us have a good go towards the end but please can we sort out our corners and free kicks. I'm happy with the point and well done to the travelling Rs.

    This Ainsworth in his rock gear comment reminds me of Michael Foot and his (falsely described) donkey jacket, Teresa May's sexy leopard skin shoes.

    Why can't he dress as he wants. He is doing his job IMHO leave his wardrobe alone

    Looks like a lot of 50-something blokes jealous they wouldn’t fit into his shirts to me.

    <sorry>
