Pretty tepid stuff. Field and Dozzell outnumbered in midfield. Good switches of play to Smyth who looks lively. Overall we look so blunt in the final third. Does Armstrong know the offside law.
My thoughts exactly. There aren't many strikers in world football who could play like this with little to no support. We have to get the basics right, one midfielder runs 5 yards and rips 3 of our players out of position. Poor first half

Only seen a bit but we look very very poor. One short spell we seemed to get on top and terrible Armstrong miss. Then back to terrible performance. Grim grim watch. Just seen a couple of replays of their goal, hard to tell but looked as though he could well have pushed it in with his hand.
Read quite a bit the last few days about how poor it was that Ainsworth had admitted to never having prepared for playing with 10 men. Do we actually know if he has prepared with 11 playing?
I like when Smyth gives Cook a thumbs up for a crossfield pass hit 30 yards too far. Guaranteed one a game.
I think he just kicks the ball as hard as he can and sometimes it stays low and sometimes it goes twenty yards over everyone’s heads.
