"The manager talked to us about the passion and what we needed in the second half, the work and what we needed to put into the game. I think we switched the formation and then everybody did their job and we turned the game." DOMINIK SZOBOSZLAI It worked.
The second half was a joy to watch - we switched to a more traditional 442 / 424 and it suited the players so much better - Dom playing in a double pivot was unexpected but he smashed it out of the park. Even when Trent comes back, can we just stick to this system please? Also - shout out to Robbo who has been brilliant for the past couple of games. There is life in the old dog ... Also, Darwin is really integrating well in the front 3. He already has a good link with Mo but Diaz is proving to be trickier however there were some encouraging signs that it's developing. Gakpo continues to be anonymous throughout games despite his goal. He and Jota are good squad players but should not be starting regularly for us.
I hope we don't make it recurring theme of having to come from behind to win games frequently. But I am slightly confused - I thought we lost all of the experience, high standards and leadership when Henderson and Milner left? Not sure how we managed these games this season without them ...
cos we are playing **** teams Bournemouth very very **** team that will be lower half for sure. newcastle very slow and turgid but we're winning until they look off players and went negative. again we hoofed it and the donkey. villa ****. High line stupidly. really stupid set up that allowed us hoof the ball over the top wolves. very **** team can't score it seems yet we let them. so yeah, you conflate those things all you like
Well he asked for it. he couldn't just be happy we bought two good midfielders and the forwards are actually fit. nothing to do with rainbow laces
