That lineup makes it impossible to defend Martin if we lose. To be honest, even if we win I’ll still be baffled how Charles isn’t playing in midfield.
Have to say that I swore out loud when I saw the team sheet Aribo doesn’t track back, sitting in front of KWP who spends most of his time, this season, out of position. If they have a half decent left winger there is space to be had. No creativity in the midfield either, should we get forward which is why, if we are going to put a non defensive minded player in midfield it should at least be Stuart or Charly who can create.
Not the team I wanted to see. Charles at CB is bad enough but Aribo starting seals the deal. We are screwed. He plays like a pub player and a not very good pub player. I use the word ‘starting’ with caution as I haven’t seen him actually make any contribution to any game so far.
Not ideal BUT maybe if we can get to 10 minutes without being 2-0 down we’ve got a chance. Stay positive!
Maybe the plan is for Charles to do the John Stones into midfield thing tonight so Aribo stays forward. Pep has got a lot to answer for.
