A few 10's and 5's scored last night and @Darren Peacock’s Ponytail scores a massive 50 for the round, and wins the week, with @Q in 2nd on 44 and @Magdadlorian 3rd with 42. @Munse still tops the overall standings but now has only a 2pt lead over DPP and 6pts over @GeordieHalfbreed. Will be interesting to see if DPP can keep up the pressure, with having to spread his best predictions between two competitions, while Munse and GeordieHalfbreed can put out their best predictions every week. This weeks fixtures (for those of you who have Tash on ignore): Saturday 23rd September Crystal Palace vs Fulham Luton Town vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest Brentford vs Everton Burnley vs Manchester United Sunday 24th September Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur Brighton & Hove Albion vs AFC Bournemouth Chelsea vs Aston Villa Liverpool vs West Ham United Sheffield United vs Newcastle United
I think next season we should experiment with the removal of cards as they can be quite flukey. Winners should win because of their skills predicting results/scores, just a suggestion.
But it also means everyone has a chance right up to the end. Well, except Trev, but then we would lose a bit of comedy factor instead if he didn't have cards to play
Tell you what. At the end of the season I will publish a parallel set of results without the cards and you can see the difference. But surely knowing when to play your card, based on your assessment of the games coming up, is an equally important predictive skill. Also your suggestion smacks a bit of sour grapes, after you only scored 18, using your first card!
