Is there a void to be filled by Darren Robinson?

Sounds like he has an impressive background. Either that or he has invested wise money on an on-line CV. However, who does he replace, or is all this sports science stuff new to our back-room? Are there more people moving out in the background?

i dont think its new to the club but he will be considered an employee of HCAFC rather than someone appointed by a manager/coach etc.

I'm not aware of anyone leaving other than the three we know about and I suspect that Robinson is filling a new role(though some of his duties will probably have been Shakespeare's previously), I seem too remember Brownie had someone in a similar role.

I read somewhere that NP flew some one out (from Sweden I think) every month to do this job?

Of course one of the most important roles in the last regime was that of Steve Walsh.

Are we going to hire someone to manage the acquisition research and scouting? We can't totally build our squad on Manchester United's youngsters.

Not sure about wherther organisationally there is a void, but I've thought for a long while that under Pearson the fitness of the players was somewhat lacking. If this guy's job is to improve that along with all the Psych and health elements then it's a much needed role.

When I was listening to Radio Leicester last week or earlier this week, they were saying he was expected to bring more than just Shakey and Walsh with him from his backroom team. Are all the physios and all them still here? Could have been more of a sticking point for negotiations even if we declined them...

It's actually the opposite. It was in the Allam interview in the HDM yesterday. I've uploaded a PDF here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/r8gqyk

The Allam's thought NP's sports science team was too expensive including the part-time Swedish imports so they were insistent that Leicester took them off us.

glad he did. we only need one. NP back room staff are more than the England football team has. Crazy.

Where do all those people go next then IF NP gets the sack next may ?

Wonder if Simon Maltby will come back to Hull now NP has gone. ?

There isn't a well run business in the world that doesn't cut all unnecessary costs.

Yes i was wondering that and other items associated with recruiting, I am presuming that Walsh had a large file with potential signings that rightfully should be Hull Citys Property-is it?

Also he would have had a network of scouts about the country, I am guessing that we have lost those as well. So that will need replacing.

Any insight on answers or incites appreciated.

Notice that AP said DR was also from Hull and his resume says that he played for Hull City.

It appears to me to be a very important aspect of the game. Yes I know its not baseball but as my old boss Allan Mullaly was fond of saying "the data sets you free", takes a lot of the subjectiveness out of assessing players and if it tells you something that is not true its usually because you dont have enough data.

Sound like it also includes diet, hope it does, and this rightly should include limitations on the alcohol content included in that diet. Amazes me that clubs pay players a fortune and yet it seems that they allow them to drink large quantities of stuff that reduces their ability to play the game at 100%. Hard for young men to eat the right stuff and avoid alcohol-we have all been there but we weren't being paid 3 or 4 k a year. Nor did we have expert advice.

Hope also it includes a role in the coaching side. Read an article once about coaching in Holland that focused on players weaknesses, simple e.g. improving kicking with non natural foot. Many of the skills are not innate they are learned with practice.

That was my first thought-actually I lie it was Paul M coming out after being given a 100 lines--I must pass to my team....I must pass to my team...I must pass to my team.
