Even your own extremely biased commentary team had to admit that Sunderland should have had a penalty and had a perfectly good goal disallowed. They failed to admit that the throw in that resulted in your goal resulted from a blatant push in the back that should have resulted in a free kick to us. Without the refs crazy decision in your favour we would have scored five. And you are surely not trying to say that the sending off was not a red.
Your managers game plan was obviously to kick our young talented team off the park. That will explain why our fans were disgruntled with your managers tactics.

People are entitled to comment on your manager, at a football match ... ... my opinion is that you'll grow tired of him when the novelty wears off, just like his hair and clothes his football never changes.
Exactly. The ref was not giving decisions he gave to the away team. Your lot got two corners at the start of the second half right under your nose. I’m assuming you didn’t see both pairs of Sunderland hands push the defender in the back, one pushing him onto the ball to get a corner, the other bundling him over. The game was riddled with these. Armstrong was being held the entire first half, got one free. He got a yellow for throwing the player to the ground that had been swinging out of him. I suppose you were too busy celebrating to see your doing the same, and maybe worse, in stoppage time that only resulted in a cosy chat.
I've already said the referee was poor and gave bad decisions for both sides, the red was correct though, if it wasn't QPR would appeal. For every example you give there's another I could counter with ... .... I’m assuming you didn’t see both QPR hands push our defender in the back which lead to your throw in and goal, for example. And, for all you keep saying our players surrounded the referee to influence him for the red but so did your players. We didn't make Colback lose the ball and dive in studs up, that was all his own work.
This wasn't at the match, it was much later in a pub. They're entitled their opinions about Ainsworth (I'm no fan of his by the way) but it just seemed rather ungracious to be slagging him off to our faces after we'd congratulated them on their win.
Yes I know that. How is it ungracious for football fans to give an honest opinion about a football manager, it's not like he's one of your family. Ainsworth was disgraceful at Wycombe, in Sunderland games, and that kind of thing sticks. It's just an opinion, no one wants to track him down and take his necklace and cowboy boots off him
Pushing and shoving goes on in every game, from all teams. All fans want is good quality refereeing to deal with it fairly and a ref who isn’t going to put up with the type of antics your players did throughout. Both sets of fans could list unfair, missed or poor decisions. But it’s not a good watch when 4, 5 and 6 players keep surrounding the ref; as well as players falling over to easily at the softest touch.
You lot keep saying that despite it not actually happening, I think you must have the red card card video on a loop ... ... during that incident your own players surrounded the ref trying to influence his decision. Or did you miss that? QPR had a dozen fouls to our few, if you kick people they fall over.
Or maybe they were infuriated that a fellow professional had seriously tried to injure a player so badly it could have affected his livelihood
You didn’t have 3 points when colback was sent off. You were winning a game with an hour left. Points are awarded at the end of the game! The colback challenge was awful. Saw a similar one from O’Nien a couple of years back where, at the game, I thought “that’s no more than a yellow”, in real time watching it I thought that, but then saw it afterwards. Jobe is lucky he’ll play this season. Could easily have broken his leg. Don’t think it was intentional, but it was reckless and endangered an opponent.
without a doubt the red card killed the game for us. All around me said it was a red. In that heat there was going to be just one outcome, 11 against 11? who knows
that ref was abysmal...for both sides. his failure to do his job correctly ruined the game, armstrong was a handful but he decided he was going to take action of his own and got the yellow, we have seen the same being done to ross stewart but he had the sense to keep his head and bring the refs attention to it. i don't like sending offs and as i said on our board i doubt it would have happened if the ref had done his job properly...it showed just how bad he was when both sets of fans feel he was against them i guess.
On first viewing, Colback’s challenge looked a yellow at worst. But replays showed - and it pains me to say this - it was a definite red card. Raised studs into the ankle/leg. Not malicious just mistimed but dangerous. Even Jamie Mackie reporting for Sky said on second viewing a definite red. It’s been ages since we led at home so I’d have loved to see how the game progressed with eleven on the pitch. I fancied us to win it. Could have been a real turning point for our home form. But down to ten men, no chance with a squad this thin. We’re just not getting a break at the moment.
There's a bit of recent history with QPR and Sunderland. Danny Ballard missed 4 months last seaon due to a naughty tackle on him up here at the Stadium of light. Probably why he celebrated as much as he did.
I didn't think it was a red at the time, but having seen the slow motion replays of the challenge, it definitely was. The ref didn't have the benefit of slow motion of course, and I think he was probably guessing a bit, unduly influenced by the Sunderland players and fans.
You’re only focused on one moment of the game … try looking at the big picture of the game where your players constantly badgered the ref. Notably no defence of falling over players, so some kudos/ignorance there .
I've never had a problem with Sunderland, but after reading all this one-eyed nonsense from their fans on here, I really hope they fall apart.
Sorry but some of you keep insisting we were continually surrounding the referee which just didn't happen. I didn't get home until 2.30am, flight to Edinburgh delayed, so I've sat watching the entire game again today. Both teams were bitching to the ref, both were aggressive and both falling over ... ... look at the big picture, we don't usually play that way as you'd see from our game against Southampton which was a totally different kind of game. But we will, if forced, fight fire with fire and won't be bullied by teams 'emptying the tank', and being wound up by their manager to be 'brave warriors' and get their foot in. QPR had a man rightly send off for a shocking tackle and had six times the fouls, we didn't. Ainsworth always wants games to be disruptive chaotic battles and stop decent stylish football being played ... ... thankfully we only have one more dose of it this season.
