    Looking forward to this. I think history will look kindly on Sir Bob, despite a lot of his tenure being surrounded in relegation battles

    Look forward to reading this. All the time in the world for Bob. Not much better legacy than the ground he could have left. I should imagine his consett childhood will have a few tales as well.

    Got this for Xmas and it's a really good read. He certainly put Sunderland at the heart of his decisions and seemed to do everything in the right way in both his time at the club and in his private and working life. Up to the part where it all started to go wrong with Reidy and looking back Sir Bob wished he asked more questions as to why certain players were discarded when they had done well with the club previously

    Got it for my dad for Christmas and he's enjoying it. Said there was definitely games in 60s or 70s Bob referred to that he was there as well. Also said my Granda must have known Bob's family as both from Shiney and worked in pits.
