Just checking up on Ebenezer Cobb Morley, although he was only FA Secretary until 1866 he was FA President up to 1874 so probably was at the first international in 1872, he also presented the first FA Cup in 1872, a Hull lad.

Feel like Scotland have it in them to beat England. Their qualifying campaign has been excellent.

Hopefully Southgate plays a full strength 11 and puts some fire in the bellies as Clarke will have them fully pumped up...

Tough game in the offing and I could do without any workmate euphoria tomorrow morning.

    Come on England!!

Would you take a Scotland win if it means Southgate out?

I would. But then my feelings for England are nowhere near as strong as my feelings for City. I think you can judge this on how you celebrate a goal - for example, I cannot hold back the euphoria when City score.

I strongly believe the glory supporters in this world never truly understand what this is like.

Just another friendly for me. I don't really care about Scotland probably because I'm not really old enough to remember much about the home nations fixtures.

I still wouldn't take a loss if it meant we lose Southgate though, as he's doing a great job. He's easily (IMHO) the most successful England manager of my life time and I believe he'll take us deep into the Euro's too. For me only Venables and Robson came close.

I recall the home international game in about 1965 when 106,000 turned up at Hampden...I guess H&S didn't exist then.
England won 4-3 or some other silly score.

I have a very vague memory of a disaster at hampden park and lots were killed in a crowd crush, I guess H+S should have existed then.
