I agree with you, but in Football, as in most things, Money Talks.

If we go back we find that in the 60's when Italian Football seemed to be at it's peak, they were attracing the 'worlds best' players.
    But it didn't last.
The likes of Greives and Law, came back though this did open up the idea of players moving to other European countries.
Then China tried to buy a quality league.
That seems to have come to nothing too.

    But I wouldn't underestimate The Saudi's.
We don't know what their real motive might be.
IF, being the top footballing Nation in The Middle East, is what they want, then money will be no object.
Or this may just be part of their fued with Qatar.

Changes of Ruler are not unkown either, and if this were to happen, the next one might opt for a different approach.

I cann't see this working in the long run either, but, you never know.

For me at the moment I can't see it working as there needs to be a good internal infrastructure through the schooling system and then into a non league system and then to progress into the professional ranks. That is where their money should be spent not trying to buy the nest in the world like some kind of Cabal and take over world football. Don't buy it build it !

But it's not their way. They want it as soon as possible and will through money at it to achieve it. It's only if they keep failing that they'll change, but most likely by getting bored and giving up.

Sooooo just to fully understand....people now shouldnt be protesting:emoticon-0138-think.......or should people only be protesting & marching to parliament over the more serious offence of zero hour contract....which bizarrely those protests appear to have stopped....now correct me if am wrong but i think zero hour contracts are still a thing

The reality is the majority are to thick to realise their takeover is wrong, a lot are turning a blind eye<doh>...which leaves mags against sportswashing the ones left with morals

Literally on Twitter saying that their celebration when the saudi takeover happened was only because Ashley was gone! They’re absolutely embarrassing. Stating that celebrating the old owner is lot celebrating the new one!!

So they celebrate Ashley going by putting tea towels on their heads?
Didn't see any at the SoL when Donald and Methane went.

Thing is, some of the mags in that video brought up some good points about other atroicities that have happened but wouldn't recognise any that the Saudis have committed which is more embarrassing

A basically decent country, that gets things wrong, can't be compared to a country where intolerance, persecution and executions are enshrined in state law ...

... a state that will sentence a rape victim to be publicly stoned to death is indefensible.

I don't understand the Saudi flag waving! Baffles me. But then the same lot will spout "no place for politics in football".
