You're Belgian, aren't you? Fair enough, I respect that. But on a visceral, partisan club level I wish him as well as they did Virgil, or, indeed, I wished Torres when he moved there with a crumbling knee. May the curse of Timo Werner be on all of them who move to Chelsea over Liverpool on the simple basis of money. And yes, before Southampton fans point this out, I know this make me a hypocrite.
caicedos career is already over. it's hilarious. all these young players have been done up like a kipper by their agents who as a whole have decided these players are all bang average and its best get as.much now as they can and them let them rot. at least half of these young players chelsea have wasted a fortune on are likely to go down the pan, they might even have a markovic or two. if anyone had a proper player on their hands they would think long term gain and swerve the quick buck at Chelsea. chelsea signed fernandez and promptly decided the no 6 was not a no 6 at all, then went this summer and signed 4 more. there's two kids in there as well nobody knows and will likely never know.
I thought, especially in the 2nd half, Fernandez was tremendous against us as a No8. He's more the real deal than Caicedo, but at £105m even he's preposterously over-valued. £70m would be more than fair.
everyone is overpriced i just think Fernandez has shown his qualities in flashes at Chelsea which in a sea of chaos is pretty good .
Chelsea's approach seems to be to get a collection of players rather than building a team. Was Pochettino the manager when they bought Mudryk and he said something along the lines of he didn't know they were buying him? Makes you wonder if he's on board with the whole thing.
no Mudryk was last season think Potter was the manger at the time but tbh it is difficult to keep up with all the coming and going there.
Tell that to the world Cup winning manager who plays him at 6 and the benfica manager who played him at 6 to convince chavs he must be bought.
