    My eyes have felt gritty and I have noticed cars coated with dirty looking dust, is it down to dust blown up from African desert.

    Funny you sat that. I live in South Manchester and my car was really dirty this morning. Assumed it was just in my area.

    I live in the North West aswell and my car was covered in ****e this morning. Cleared the windscreen when I drove parked up came back 20 minutes later same again.

    Same in Northumberland. Had to wash the garden furniture down this morning that was also covered.

    The farmers are cutting and transporting grain to storage, we get it every year August/September.
