It seems nowadays to be a footie fan you also have to be a lawyer and an accountant. Gone are the days when the most complicated part was understanding offside.
That's presuming we get full compensation, hence why I said MAY backfire, because until (a) the situation actually happens and (b) FIFA decide on the issue we don't know What if we have to pay part of any loan fee received back. I would presume that we wouldn't but its a possibility. What if FIFA say Roma have to pay 50% of the players wages, whilst we pay the other 50% Of course FIFA could easily decide totally in our favour and then it becomes less of an issue, other than we have a player that didn't want to be at the club, that we have to somehow integrate back into the squad. I should also say that there may be something in the FIFA documents that cover for this exact situation, but as much as I like facts & figures and research, the document I found was over 500 pages , and even I draw a line at reading and digesting all of that However I am also not going to worry about it, until it actually happens.
For me, Rasmus was a better CB than RB. Like everyone else, I'm still hurting because of what he did. However, given our defensive frailties & injury record, we might actually need him come January, so lets not burn our bridges just yet. Of course, just to cover all bases, we should be touting him about for another loan or sale.
I think he would return on the significantly reduced wage following the relegation clause. So I'd guess he'd want to stay at roma whatever or find another club
Since my last post, it's now been reported that Roma do not want him and they are stuck as there is no option to send him back early. It is unclear if there is an option to send him back in January. You would imagine his agent will be working away behind the scenes trying to find him another club IF there is a January release but like you said, it's not worth worrying about unless it happens and even then, we'll be top of the league come January so who cares
I always thought that the loaning club had to include a recall clause in any loan deal so I guess it would work both ways so they would need a break clause of some description, for January possibly. It would be ridiculous if you can send a player back whenever you liked but I thought no one could move outside of the transfer windows anyway.
You can be absolutely 100% sure well be the ones shafted on the RK deal . Was same when all the JKA nonsense was going on. Oh we're in the right and we wont have to pay anything That worked out well.
Minor Youtube Rant Just because I watch videos about Leeds United, doesn't mean I am interested in listening to Ryan Finnegan's first interview since signing for Shrewsbury Town. Has your algorithm not fathomed out that I select "not interested" or "don't recommend channel" in any video you suggest relating to football that involves another club other than Leeds Minor Youtube Rant Over
