We didn’t play out from the back less on Saturday than we did last season. We just did it better on Saturday. Rosenior never promised instant solutions, but are now starting to see the benefits of his long term work. And it is incredibly exciting and watchable, in my view.

Excitement which won’t wane if we go 0-1 down in our next game, incidentally.

If you read the article today, tan said we couldn't compete financially when the serie A opportunity came up and that it was Oscar who chose us over more lucrative deals last season so they felt it was fair to him to let him go out this season and get game time. The deal for Oscar is £5m total as well, if they buy him

I wrote my text base on recollection of the audio so not as specific as you but , it wasn’t because we tried a cheaply or he didn’t want come - and other inaccurate suppositions by some - been going on all summer .

Possibly, but it's probably wise to take things like that with a pinch of salt, it's very easy to say " yer we didn't get him because he went abroad, but if he didn't he would have come to us" and TBF the only thing that matters is he didn't come, we let Oscar go and it's left us short of strikers...... Hopefully it won't matter, but it's an extremely risky gamble.

To be fair 12 months ago we were saying if Twine hadn't gone to Burnley he'd have come to us and now he's here, so it's not like they don't have runs on the board in backing up talk with action.

Not saying they don't, just saying it doesn't really matter, he chose somewhere else and isn't with us. The fact we were 2nd choice or 22nd choice doesn't change it.

On the subject of Twine he seemed to be playing left on Saturday and was seen rushing back to help having left Vinagre exposed on a good few occasions. Playing out of position isn’t doing him any favours nor us .

I wonder who would have been the penalty taker Saturday with Tufan absent?

Think the inmates only played with the hope of a week on the hospital wing, or a chance to recover the ball if it went over the wall!!!

He's played almost as many games in his career out wide as he has as a 10. He's hardly being played out of position as its his second position.

Think you're pigeon-holing him a bit there. He clearly is more versatile than that.

That wasn’t intended I’m sure he’s techically able , but a week ago Rosie was being hammered for playing him left wing . I want him to play where best . My point is many years ago we tried Hinds at right back but because he was a central or right sided defender he always positioned himself too far in field or drifted in to where he was used to , leaving the oppos to too much room . I don’t think Twine does that but we all want pegs in the right holes . I trust Rosie doing the best with players positions and selection now the squads bigger

It's a combo of a few things really. I found our passing out the back was largely fine bar that Slater moment which was thankfully offside. Delap and Connolly offered us good out balls as well to play more direct when needed. Genuinely think the brakes are slowly coming off and we went through the growing pains of Rosenior implementing the style causing players to be more rigid in build up and take less risks. It seems our goals are now coming from inviting the press with balls being played out to Delap who has a 1v1 and I'd fancy him vs most championship defenders.

Hopefully now after a statement win like that people give Rosenior some more time. There will be games where we are like Leicester against us and we are having to break down teams sitting deep but generally the team is getting far better

I think given a bit of time, Twine and Vinagre can strike up a good understanding on the left. There were signs of it Saturday, but needs time to really gel. When Vinagre went on that run to the byline and crossed, Connolly tried to flick it to Twine who had come inside, unfortunately it wasn't quiet right and it came to Seri who's shot was blocked.

Once played RU for H&ER 5th team, when they were a few players down. I'm talking mid 1980s. We played ....Everthorpe Borstal.....Their team was half inmates and half screws.....Got pasted. First five minutes i got ko'd, not by an inmate, but a screw....Dirty bastard...The inmates were the fittest set of lads I'd ever seen. All they did, all day was train. So that when they came out they were the fittest set of thieves on the planet. I never quite saw the sense of that...Should have kept them in the cell 23 hours a day not working out in the gym.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned Sayyadmanesh. Cracking tackle just after he came on. That was one that deserved a booking.

    Good lad.

I thought Twine was good on the whole against Leicester. Some very nice touches and showed signs of an excellent partnership with Vinagre.

He's certainly not let us down in any way but I guess there will be an expectation that he gets amongst the goals and assists sooner or later coming with the reputation he has.

Early days though. Like anyone else coming in he'll take time to fully acclimatise. That's not to say he's been poor at all, just possibly not immediately hit the heights of his expectation yet - which is a big ask straight from the off anyway.

I played a couple of games for everthorpe borstal around 1974. My dad worked on the farm and we lived down near everthorpe club. Happy days. Some great lads lived on beck road on the prison village
