Could it be an evil wind-up? Is there something about you to be celebrated at this time?

Go on the trip with the minimum of fuss but at some stage over the trip when it's your round just go to the bar and get yourself a drink, when they enquire where is their drinks just say "Oh!! I forgot all about you all and when I remembered when I was at the bar didn't think you would want one"
It will either kick off or your best mate will realise how you have felt and you can all laugh it off.

    Nothing I'm afraid.

I'm in conversation with my friend now about the flights.
He is claiming ignorance of my having booked my flights and he claims I've never mentioned the trip since then.
    I've just put him right

Just stick a load of drugs in his suitcase before the flights back and notify authorities. Make sure you tell them he's concealing stuff within his body.

When he's dragged off for his cavity search just tell him that the good news is that you've booked your own taxi so you don't have to wait for him. Go home and be smug.

    Simples.

I fail to understand why the relegation causes have cost us promotion, we brought in new faces still and all teams lose players when relegated. What about Southampton and the profit they made in sales and the small amount in comparison which they spent on new players and the heavy 5-0 defat to Sunderland

Relegated teams lose players, we lost three key ones, Sinisterra, Adams, Harrison and Wober

Adams and Harrison have been injured anyway and would not have yet featured and hopefully those we have brought in will be better

We have a better RB we have Rodon to replace Wober, some would argue Ampadu is better than Adams, Anthony is being dismissed yet he will be better for this squad than Sinisterra, we signed Piroe yet still there are groans and moans, I honestly don't get it.

On day one the loan situation was what it is, it hasn't changed, today it is over, we should be glad that the rats have jumped ship as it sounds like we had a right load of **** bags in the dressing room

Good luck with that. We are still an unbalanced team with no creativity in midfield. So what do we do only go out and sign two more defensive mids.

Mate he has snubbed you and i would not go as a fill in to make it cheaper for them. None of them appear to know you were going so fair enough forget it and stay at home. They would have four hours start in you and you have a taxi to pay on your own. I suspect your mate would be rooming with his cousin. Going to hard joining in a night out four hours late.
I was going in holiday in july and had paid for two flights and parking from east mids. The lady i was taking started telling me what i could do and should ask her first before making arrangments to see my greek friend. It was only for a sunday morning coffee if she could make it. The other woman was included and nothing was definite. She tthen said go meet her on your own then so said no way you are making me feel uncomfortable on holiday.so i cancelled the flights and got the parking money back.she tried to get round me the next day but i cancelled anyway.

This story reminds me of what happened to my brother in law's best mate.

Few years ago before my wedding my brother in law was about a year in to his relationship with his wife and it turned out that one of his best mates was sending nudes to said girlfriend.

Anyway Mr nudes and another mate had tickets to the Belgium GP that year. They had flights, hotel and tickets paid for. Nobody wanted to be near Mr Nudes. They ended up going to Belgium and spent the time not speaking.

Sorry Hermase, I missed this earlier.

Personally I would be extremely angry, to the extent it would ruin my trip. So I would cancel. However we are all different, some people far more tolerant than me. I just know if I went, the fact they’d forgotten me, would eat away at me. The only concession to not cancelling, for me, is if I believed I wasn’t entirely clear at the time discussions were had, that I was committed to the trip.

Thank you all for your counsel today. I appreciate all your words of advice.

As it stands I'm 70/30 towards not going on the trip. I think this will change once I've had it out with my friend. I will keep those interested updated.

Back to normal on here tomorrow, falling out about whether Struijk is good enough or not.

Other teams lose player too - granted.

How many teams have lost players in the same manner we have?

They are not rats - They're footballers! Most footballers would have acted exactly the same way given the opportunity, the difference being we gave them the freedom to do it. No other team in the history of football have, would or will make such a catastophic error.

Our best case scenario is these 9 or 10 players return next Summer a lot worse for wear, and a year less on their contracts. In most cases, we don't even have loan fees!!!

Personally, in your situation, I'd go on radio silence until at least after the trip. I'd also go on the trip, ideally with his wife to get back at him, but perhaps another friend or relative, & go do what you want to do over there & hopefully not encounter them (their itinerary should aid you in that). I might also send a mail to him asking him how he'd feel if the situation was reversed, see what the reply says, & take it up with him AFTER the trip. His reply should determine if you shag his wife or not. LOL :D

Best advice of the day- shag his wife. whilst I most certainly would I don't think I could though. She might have something to say about it.

I fully expect us to be on radio silence for a while now. I think he knows he has ****ed up but he's not someone who likes to admit when they are wrong.
