could be. hope that newcastle strategy doesn't ack fire with them finishing 3rd. we want them 4th and crying.
The Godsend of this is the relative lack of travel. If we can't get that wrapped up and put to bed by November we don't deserve to go through. Should be excellent development for the likes of Doak, Clark, Qhashah (sp), and others, providing we try and get it knocked off early. All is good.
I think in gneral we need to just be a bit careful in what we do. theres scope for some squaddies and kids at home but not massive scope. You really just want the senior pros to do the job. gomez, matip, tsimikas, kelleher, nunez, elliott, jones etc. we don't want 10 kids in like we will do v Leicester in the league cup. Win the group and skip the round of 32. the prize there is far bigger than anything else.
Kelleher Gomez Matip Quansah Tsimikas Gravenberch Bajcetic Jones Elliott Jota Doak Should be more than good enough in most of those games plus a bit of rotation.
so you are not in favour of nunez getting any games Bradley is out for 2 months min. mayaba is back from injury. really it's about who gets rotated in and out. I actually think endo will play in this lol. we need to see doak might not get a game here as he's not at club long enough amd we have 17 senior foreigners. we need to not put Adrian in the squad now.
Like I said before no need for Adrian. Ali kelleher and one of the kids. The Brazilian one fits in with no home grown issues I think? Nunez gonna be banging them in the prem over next couple months wide right anyway
it's a really bad joke. we are seeing a lot of very badly advised young players being sold to the shark pit by their agents for a quick buck. 90% of their signings will flop and struggle to have much of a career, purely because most won't play and won't develop in the time at Chelsea. lavia's career is already over. I'll bet you he won't go with Belgium to euros
Saw a report earlier saying lavia preferred a move to lfc but agent pushed for chelsea as more money and longer contract. Take with pinch of salt, given how we messed around then prob had something to do with it but do wonder at what point players may take game time into account. Especially when talking about stupid money anyway. Thise 7/8 year contracts though seem to hold a lot of sway. Gauranteed massive income no matter how badly you play for 8 years. Players shouldn’t be money orientated but always used to be said giving too much money to young players too early can stunt their development if don’t have the right mentality.
CHELSEA 11 V NOTTINGHAM FOREST. Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Jackson and Ben Chilwell all keep their places too. Chelsea XI: Sanchez, Disasi, Silva, Colwill, Gusto, Caicedo, Fernandez, Gallagher, Chilwell, Sterling, Jackson Time and date: 3pm, Saturday, September 2, 2023 Venue: Stamford Bridge They still lost to Forest 0:1 CAICEDO WAS PLAYING TOO.
If a player is on 100k a week that is £5.2m a year for 8 years if they refuse to move that is £56m and they will be about 30 yrs old at the end of the contract. A good deal, obviously not for me as the Mrs would go mad if I took such a large pay cut and I am no longer in my 20's
