I think he’s done more than Adarma, even though he’s out of position, but somehow he was being blamed. Us losing currently has bugger all to do with Mara.

Yeah I thought the same. I never liked this ref in the EPL, been pretty **** for both sides today.

How he missed the penalty when looking right at it is beyond me.

Oh I agree, I was going to post after 10 mins (but could have equally posted before KO), that I never want to see AA as a central, lone striker.

Maybe I hadn’t seen all comments on here re Mara, didn’t think there were so many. But I don’t see what Mara brings generally, especially today.

 

How exactly are you supposed to react to this? It has been awful and we are lucky it isn’t 4 or 5

 

Also, every team we come up against really seems to give it 110%, while we stroke it around at half-pace.

 

By not over reacting. No one in their sane mind would have expected us to start this season so well.

 

Dropping Shea Charles is a more baffling decision now than it was at the start of the game.

 

I've tried not to criticise him, but it does bloody seem that absolutely every shot on target goes past Bazunu.

 

We shouldn't be surprised by this score. Two of them were just hopeful shots on target and the other was on the break. All of them came about from giving the ball away.

That has been happening to Saints in the other 4 games.

The other problem is that with all the possession there is no cutting edge.

Che Adams needs to come on. Sekou Mara isn't doing enough.

 

Let’s be honest here, the goalkeeper was poor, our wingbacks are playing alongside 2 poor cbs - neither one is playing as a fb - our midfield is being outbattled, SA is a luxury player who needs steel around him, we only have one true winger on, our striker can’t play the lone striker role… Edozie is poor coming back…

Is there an actual positive?

 

I think today is a combination of a bit of misfortune, muddled together with an iffy formation from RM.
