I can’t believe how bad that. Just unbelievable. One of the worst halves of football I can remember - and that includes last season.
We have played 2 decent teams and conceded 7 goals with 45 minutes to go. Think we got a bit carried away with a few late goals against newly promoted teams and QPR.
The GK is the last line of defence, he shouldn't be the saviour. The 10 players in front of him have been so poor.
Not sure I completely agree. I don’t see what Mara offers generally, and think he is playing out of position, for me he is a striker, less effective on the left of the attack, and worse on the right. I dont see why you bring people not liking him into it, I for one don’t usually beat that drum, but he looks ineffective and like he doesn’t know what his role is just now. Not saying that is on him, but he would have ben provided instruction. Was surprised when I say the lineup today. Didn’t think it would work. Holgate has been what I expected.
I said on the PL thread about it being incredible business by Everton to find new homes for Maupay and Iwobi. The same applies to Holgate. Fortunately, I'm not expecting to see him on the pitch too often this season. Such an awful defender.
