Nice to wake up to the confirmation of A A signing.

What a mental 24 hours that was, but as I said Thursday all we could do was wait till the window closed before judging and I'm glad i held fire.

Still can't believe we got £10 million for Stewart with the injury and contract situation.

Next u21 game might be worth going along to if these new lads are playing

Jobe, Ba or a defender I imagine. Not ideal. I wonder whether a move for M’Villa would be countenanced if one of Ekwah or Neil were injured.

Mowbray recently said he wanted to add a bit more age to the squad and were working towards it. Im pretty sure the average age of the squad would have gone down this morning. Makes me wonder whether we lost out on anybody and wonder who they were.

Especially two injuries which were innocuous running around and not contact ones. I’d be worried if were Southampton and there seems to have been things worrying them with the medical from messages on here so strange it went through and what we got. Their problem now. I wish the lad well though.

Tone can say what he wants. Doesn't get a say on who we bring in.

Sad to see Danny Batth go as well, can kind of understand why, but thought there was a place for him.

He was brilliant last year, but as with Gooch (still gutted) the club is evolving and tough decisions have to me made.

Biggest win for me is keeping the core players and adding to it

We still have Corry Evans (I know he is injured) and Matete but agree we are maybe a little light so we may have to adapt a bit LON is a midfielder so may have to cover if needed as well and whilst that may be a slight weakness in squad we have imo a lot more height and power than last season with more depth to the squad. All in all a good window and I believe a step in the right direction, my hope is the steps become strides as the season progresses and who knows we may even break into a run KTF

Seemed like you were saying it's not a good league and so implying the players from there would struggle.
Obviously misunderstood if that wasn't what you meant.

It may be that with Pembele in they see Hume as a possible DCM if needed? It has been discussed on here, and I feel he would be better there than Luke.
All in all, this window further takes us in our direction of travel....young foreign talent on longer term deals, and only one loan. The striker position has been addressed, the players we thought would move have moved, with the exception of Pritch, and the potential loss of Clarke and Roberts didn't materialise. A recognised DCM would have been the icing. I haven't seen any of these new players,so can't comment on them, but, from what others say who have, and the reports,I've got to say I'm excited.
Tone now has the task to coach their talents into a winning combination....I'm looking forward to it!

We need luck with injuries in midfield, wouldn’t be surprised to see 09 in there covering st some point before December and slightly worried about players settling in to the league. Other than that a strong end to the window in what looked dire at one point with great attacking options and a few headaches put to bed. Let’s beat the riches of Southampton today.

Sad to see baath stewart n gooch go as they were 3 of my fave players but tbh its probably the right thing for all concerned. Think with the squad that we had last season it was always going to be sad to see some of them leave as we just all seemed to love that squad.

Think weve done some good business this window, could be unreal if half these lads reach their potential with us.

Pembele will be an upgrade on gooch, he is likely to be our 1st choice rb when up to speed. Im a huge fan of hume but where he struggles is a lack of pace n that attacking threat - pembele gives us both of that

CB is an interesting one, i could see alese n ballard being our 1st choice pairing n the club have high hopes for the dutch lad so we look stronger there - the reason i say interesting as baath was class there for us n will be missed in certain games

We have more depth across the forward line now which is exciting. Rusyn n burstow should really compliment what we have there

Weve improved our back up GK, plus Young has taken huge steps forward this year

CDM is a worry for me though. I see folk saying we have loads of CMs but we dont really have a natural CDM other than Evans. Neil n Ekwah can do a job in there and we would all be comfortable if they are fit n firing until January but an injury to one of them n we will struggle. Jobe will play deeper once he learns the tactical part of thw game n rigg has unreal potential, so we have exciting prospects there - n hopefully one of them grasps the opportunity if it comes - but id of liked another CDM of quality in

Overall im pretty happy with what weve done as im really high on a few players weve brought in. At this min id give it a 8 out of 10, lets hope my grading turns out to be a little low

Pleased with yesterday overall but gonna be praying from now until January that our two centre midfielders stay fit. Find it hard to believe that there wasn't a DM in world football we could've brought in that would've fitted that criteria.

That went well. So we didn’t sell Ekwah for £3.5m and loan him back?
I must have dreamed it when I fell asleep in front of the tv last night.
