I'm a big fan of Summerville but he's still not really got that end product certainly in numbers. Gnonto is the same, looks great but his numbers aren't. Sinisterra looks great and his stats back it up.

I'd rather lose Summerville for £25-30 million than Sini for £40 million. A fit Sini gets us up.

Darlow has conceded 2 goals in 2 full games so far, the first a wicked deflection that gave him no chance and the second the Matt Smith header which would have taken a great save to keep it out.

Maybe let's judge him on actual play rather than one penalty shoot out.

I think it was the penalty that went through his arms that upset people. There was a limp wristed one too and obviously the one where he came off his line.

The polo mint impression pen disappointed me but I think he's just a better organiser and talker than Meslier.

this… I’m wary of career back up keepers in general... but it’s early days to judge.

The Smith header looked like a ‘could have’ not ‘should have’ saved. One of the penalties seemed to go through his arms… but most well struck penalties that are saved… tend to hit the keeper rather than be ‘saved’ by them. You don’t judge a keeper on penalty saves.

Not much to judge him on yet and probably wont be. He strikes me as a stand by in case of a Meslier injury rather than someone who will push Meslier for a number one spot. He might only get cup games so wont be much to assess him on

Just doing the rounds that Brentford have stepped away from Sinisterra deal as he is too expensive. They've moved on elsewhere. The offers for Sini are expected to be from abroad NOT the PL.

Everton still coming for Gnonto. Happy for them to panic buy him for the £30 million.

Burnley are looking elsewhere after £20 million bid rejected out of hand yesterday for Summerville. Apparently Leeds basically laughed and put the phone down.

Look, we don't want to lose anyone but the panic buying is starting higher up the food chain. IF we lose players today it should be for stupid money which should give us a crumb of comfort for the business over the next two windows.

    Fine margins as a keeper.

If he saves a couple of those pens (as he probably should) then there'd likely be a clamour amongst the fanbase to get him in the team. Now he's judged as practically hopeless by some which is ridiculous at this stage.

    Yep.

His distribution first half against Shrewsbury was poor. Other than that he's done ok.

Meslier has done ok too to be fair. Just needs to grow a pair and bollock his defence a bit more.

Don't disagree with any of the above.. but we've been looking for an AM/10

In general our squad, numbers wise, looks attack biased. May depend on what happens today, but we look like a side that's going to be in high scoring games - good for entertainment but not necessarily blood pressure.

To be fair when you buy third or fourth choice keeper it’s highly unlikely you’re going to get someone that’ll become your no 1 automatically

We need him pushing Meslier though as it's not much use having a permanent back up who's not really vying to be No'1.

It's nigh on impossible to judge keepers on shot stopping. They'll all athletic with good reflexes, some will be marginally better than others but its hard to see with the naked eye. Depending on the power of the shot and the distance it's hit from a shot can go straight through and make them look bad... or be an amazing reflex save that fans wax lyrical about. What's easier to spot, and more important in my opinion is positioning, decision making... and in the modern game a huge emphasis on distribution. Those are the things i've been critical of Meslier in the past.. plus his habit of pushing shots back into the danger zone. Too early for me to have an opinion on Darlow... Hull fans thought he was great... a Newcastle fan said he was great until he had to save something! Maybe we have one good keeper between the pair of them!

I don’t think we should do business with Everton under any circumstances.

Morning it's 11A.M. For us the bell tolls.
Here's a thought on Meslier... Perhaps that last keeper coach was dog shyte. Maybe he will gradually improve as the season progresses.

I wouldn't be surprised if Forest comes in for Sini. Spurs are looking at Brennan Johnson but the Forest board want over £40 million for him.

Exactly just bought as a cheap back up in case of injuries.

Everton sold Cannon for £8 million and Iwobi for £22 million.

Price for Gnonto was quoted at £30 million. Just add another £5 million on cos its Everton and say bye to the little runt. I'd be well happy with that.

Don;t disagree but we know if he goes it will be be for less than that though don't we! I thought Farke deliberately floated a figure suggesting it would have to be more than £20m in last week's presser.

If Gnonto goes it's a good bit of profit. If both him and Sini go today then it's panic stations and we need to buy. The problem is who can we get at such sort notice.
