They haven't yet got to our level back then - we qualified for Europe twice. They're only halfway there. Will be after this season we can judge them against our lofty fall from grace. (I know we didn't actually progress past qualification one of those times, but I'm still counting it.)
Ross Stewart fits into the player dominoes run we're building: Ross Stewart - Stuart Armstrong - Armstrong, Adam - Adams, Che - Shea Charles - Charly Alcaraz.
Yes, this is exactly who I wanted for RW. If we end up with Stewart, Roberts and Harwood-Bellis then Wilcox and co have done very well to hold their nerve.
Sunderland signed him on a two year deal with only 6 months of his contract remaining at City, I'm not sure there would be a sell on. City had been looking for a buyer for this player for an age after a series of unsuccessful loans. Looks like he did very well last season though in the Champ.
I’m just going on what football manager says. Although that game says Che has a clause where Birmingham get 40% of the total sell on fee (not profit). Even 40% profit would have been absurd and unlikely to be agreed to. I found reporting from the time for Che suggesting it was profit based and a lower percentage. So pinch of salt
I put this “very serious” interest news jnto the same category as Wolves “keeping an eye” on Che….… I suspect a new member of staff has been employed for both positions…
It would be amusing if we sign two of their players late tomorrow night, seeing as we play them on Saturday lunch time
I want us to sign Roberts in time to play on Saturday, although I suspect Sunderland will delay any potential move until that isn't possible.
Good point this. Almost no chance we see Roberts confirmed before midday tomorrow as that will then ensure we cannot register him in time. Doesn't matter so much with Stewart as he can't play anyway.
