One more thing from last night. I know there are questions over Struijk defensively but I think he was an excellent captain last night. So far all three players to wear the armband have scored. The way he stepped up to take a penalty and then met every other taker in their walk back was solid leadership. Credit where credit is due.

On the Dallas front I would just release him from his contract. It's been 18 months and his not played. His contract runs out at the end of the season.

It’s usually the same with those that don’t go to the games. They see the odd friendly or a cup game that doesn’t matter and then decide they’re not fully committed etc. Plus whether he got bummed or not Struijk has a lovely touch for a big lad
Mate he got injured playing for us so not only do we have a duty of care to help him regain full fitness it’s also 100% the right thing to do both for now as a footballer and also for later in life.
Struijk’s a nice bloke, not been one iota of trouble since he joined the club and always tries his best. Also he’s been picked as a starter by every manager both including and since Bielsa so obviously has talent. Left footed as well but no pleasing some people.
