Yeah, but obviously we're not as massive as them, and besides Donny isn't a glorified non - league side owned by a bunch of vanity seeeking ex title-winning man u players we once aspired to be rivals with nearly 3 decades ago but ended up getting relegated to the third tier instead whilst watching them win domestic and international titles for years on end. Not even their supposed rivals knocked them out. A bunch of their supposed rivals ex players part-time hobby-project knocked out the 'Mighty Leeds'.. . Which let's face it is piss funny.
I drove back from Exeter today, -bollock of a drive - and passed Exeter City's training centre. Stopped and had a quick gander through the fence, guy on the gate asked what I was doing, told him about my team, he apparently was a big fan of Randell Williams, he wished us good luck for the season..
Exeter are fan owned, and under their ownership have spent 3 million quid on a new training centre, seen two new stands built and sit second in their league. Must be some mistake though as many say fan ownership can't/won't work. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
At least they had the nous to insert said clauses. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
First minute of the game in donny v Everton and Everton nearly concede cos of ****ing about at the back
Watching same game... Dyche, puts his hand over his mouth to talk to one of his coaches... no need to put your hand there we know that you're saying 'we pay some of this **** 100k a week...!!!!' Doncaster aren't good, have had 3 really good chances but Everton... close on 40 minutes... outplayed zero attempts at goal... 1-0
And so he should! Let’s hope he gets some minutes to help with his match fitness. I’d love to see him starting for us.
Over the last two nights, 4 Scottish teams have been dumped from UEFA Competitions. RANGERS have dropped into the Europa League, Aberdeen have dropped into the Conference League. Hearts and Hibs are completely out of Europe. Only Celtic have survived.
Nothing new there then, it was an uninspiring when I used to go and watch Aberdeen 15 years ago, and nothing has changed since then, in fact it has probably got worse.
Mentioned it some time ago, At one time in the 1960s and 70s all successful teams had a nucleus of Scottish players. Mackay at Spurs and Derby, Alan Gilzean later. Law and Crerand at Man Utd. Bremner and Gray at Leeds. Hansen and Dalglish at Liverpool. There was also Jimmy Johnstone at Celtic who never played here which was unfortunate as he was one of the best players I have seen. Jim Baxter was another skilful player. Though a lot on not606 would not have wanted Johnstone, only 5’4” and Mackay 5’8” and Bremner 5’5” would be considered too small to be midfield enforcers.
