Nice to have put a 'scratch side' out and won. Youngsters throwing their hats in the ring. Hopefully Erol learned a bit more about his players tonight. Pleased for Colwill and Etete. Going to need them firing, as well as others, in a long old season.
Clearly the answer is I need to be on holiday every time we have a match! Very unexpected result that with a bizarre team that pretty much was mostly players on the fringe and youngsters. We'll never know how we would have done if they'd kept 11 on the pitch but our cup runneth onwards which can only be good for our team gelling under Erol.
I don't think the outcome would have differed if they hadn't gone down to 10. It seems it was quite a dominant performance in the face of some hostile tactics. Lots of praise due to the Bluebirds tonight.
Very entertaining game last night. City never looked in any danger, even when B'rum pulled a goal back. Etete looked so happy when he scored in front of the City fans towards the end. Playing with three at the back, with no recognised centre back was interesting and led to a more attacking approach. When McGuiness did come on during the second half, he was immense as usual. A good night out for the travelling fans

Listened to the game live and just watched most of the "full 90" this morning - just a question. As good as we played, how poor were Brum? If that was essentially their first team, how the hell have they been unbeaten until now? We were exceptionally good on the night but they were slow, ponderous and never really in the game - they made Sawyers look like Usain Bolt. If Bradley and the other knee jerk yanks were there last night, Eustace had better watch his back because they don't like losing at anything. If they repeat that sort of performance in the league, we'll have at least one club finishing below us - only two more needed.........
Just watched the extended highlights and a couple of interviews. All 3 goals well crafted. Some good footy played, by ostensibly our 2nd team. Augers well for the season. A bit of depth, players to change things off the bench and to push players in the starting line up. Rambo won't play every game and won't play the full 90 in the games he starts so Colwill could have a big say on where we finish the season. Another honest interview with Erol. He sometimes stumbles over the language, but seems straight talking and won't take any $h!t or sub par performances. He is growing on me. Well spoken by Rubin, who seems to think his injury woes are behind him. He certainly has the skill set if he can bring some consistency. The injury to Robinson seems a worry though. Recurring niggles can be worse than a one off injury that clears. Hope it gets sorted.
