Newcastle need to bounce back here but there's something not right and in my experience managers never change anything and they'd rather be sacked than try something different. I'll go with a score draw in this one though.

Completely agree. It’ll be 433 with the same players, or something more mystifying like starting Wilson and Longstaff ahead of Tonali and Isak - something that wouldn’t surprise me as I’m just not convinced Howe can manage more precocious players.
I'm looking forward to this game now .. it's a great opportunity to get a win and would be a decent start to the season.
Don't bring Tonali off, don't bring Joelinton off, don't bring Botman off. No matter how **** they may be playing, don't take them off. The Gordon/Barnes thing is of less importance. And hope they don't get a player sent off, cos apparently we don't know how to deal with 10 man teams. And presumably Eddie gave them all some very heavy joints at half time considering the way they played in the second half. So don't do that either.

Problem is, if those that we've brought in aren't A) Newcastle fit or B) fully on board with the tactical requirements, then there's no chance that happens so soon.
Miggy had a purple patch and has now regressed back to his mean performance. Burn was saved by Botman, countless times. Neither are top 10 worthy players and must be replaced
It’s too early to judge overall form of anyone really. On another day Miggy could have had a hat trick albeit one would have finished off the game and he’s a hero. Not sure I fancy having Burn at CB in a two now playing the top teams to be honest although I might be being unfair. Agree he’s not the quickest at FB but it’s clear that when attacking we mostly go with 3 at CB anyway.
I don't think we'll change the starting XI - they've done well in the first three games just missing a bit of luck/clinical edge in the last 2 games. If we are to make changes I'd have Gordon RW, Barnes LW with Miggy dropping out and Hall in for Botman with Burn slotting in to LCB if BSB is injured. Please though, please let Tonali play the 90 - was worried about him in preseason but atm looks like our best player and by a mile currently. Point of Brighton will mean a decent start to the year and 4 tough games out the way early with... Brentford Sheff U Burnley West Ham Palace Wolves ...our run until November after this game. Think that's where we will know what this season looks like for us.
