I agree with this, but I do feel a little 'aware' that I am in Newcastle, something different that I don't feel when I am out in Manchester, London or where ever.

Same mate but I couldn't give a toss really. If they don't like it unlucky. I've just bought a few red and white retro shirts. Washed them all and had them on washing line wear all them could see when walking past haha.

The thing with Ba is everyone is wondering where his best position is. I think it was you who said you watched him play for France at RWB. I think he could be well suited to that, as he's got a good engine and carries the ball well. If Gooch goes, he could be a good stand if we go 3 at the back, with 5 across the middle.

No m8 you’re wrong, you call your interpretation of a spade a spade. I don’t see it I see a good footballer who tries, and when he gets it right he’s good, I don’t see the point in saying I’ll ignore his good passes and highlight his bad, you seem to want to do the opposite. And as I’m an adult I’ll also say you’re entitled to your opinion and I’m entitled to disagree with it.

Ok mate. I didn’t ignore his “good passes” there just haven’t been many to go off in the first 4 games. Stats are wrong but you’re right cos you said so.

One of my observations with Clarke is the opposition have a clear plan for him. Double up, or stop him travelling with the ball from deeper. His chances to come inside are less too so far. He has to expect that after last season though, coaches will have targeted nullifying him. Up to Clarke now to find some different answers. Mowbray can help with keeping the full backs wide and pushing forward, instead of this pushing Hume into CM. That naturally narrows up Cirkin. Pritchard also created a lot of triangles with Clarke last season so Dack is going to need to find ways to help him too. If Rusyn comes my expectation is he drags defenders all over the place and space opens again for Clarke.

Defo mate. Unfortunately doubling up etc expected now because of how good he is and not only is it down to Clarke to learn to play against that it’s down to other players in our Xl to take advantage of it. Diallo was brilliant at drifting over to help Roberts and as much as I give Gooch grief he was always looking to overlap.

I was hoping Rusyn was imminent but ALS’s take on it as that he is waiting for a work permit before travelling here for a medical:

It looks like Sunderland could be closing in on an attacker - meanwhile, Super Kevin Phillips is among the favourites to take over a League One side...

    RUSYN CLOSE
Ukrainian journalist Igor Semyon has reported that Sunderland have agreed terms for striker Nazariy Rusyn. He claims that Zorya Luhansk manager Nenad Lalatovic left the 24-year-old out of his squad for yesterday's 1-1 draw against Mynai because he is set to leave the club. Rusyn is reportedly waiting for a work permit before he travels to Wearside for a medical, ahead of Friday's transfer deadline day. Rusyn scored 13 goals in 30 games for Zorya last season, and also contributed three assists. He has scored one goal in two games this season, being linked with Sunderland for a number of weeks now as the club look to bolster their options up front.

    PHILLIPS TO CHARLTON?
In other news, Sunderland legend Kevin Phillips is among the frontrunners to take charge of Charlton Athletic following the exit of Dean Holden. He has been linked with countless clubs since his surprising departure from South Shields, following their promotion to the National League North. Charlie Methven and Jim Rodwell are two men involved with the running of Charlton, and it will come as no surprise to Sunderland fans that Holden was reportedly sacked via text message. Lee Johnson, who was sacked by Hibs on the same day as Holden, is 5/1 for the Addicks' job alongside Super Kev. Former Sunderland coach Steve Cotterill is rated 8/1 whilst Lee Cattermole is an outside shout at 33/1.

We agreed a fee with the club but they wanted him to play the second leg of the Europa League play-off before he left, with our medical staff flying over there to do a medical after it but that was from before we agreed a deal with him. So should be sorted before then.

I think you might be on the wrong forum? If you want to argue like a bairn you should maybe do it otr, there’s loads there that will take you up on it. I’ve never said I’m right, I’ve said I’ve I different opinion on Jack Clarke and his game this season to you, and I disagree with your opinion on him. Now to me that should be it, but no doubt with the school’s being off you’ll have something else to say?

Never said you’re right just started your previous comment by saying I’m wrong? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I’m not arguing mate all good here just stating the facts and figures from our fixtures so far this season and people take offence at me daring to mention our best player hasn’t performed.

I'm really not sure what we see that we're achieving with Hume coming in to midfield. It has a detrimental impact on so many aspects of our game that were successful last season and the benefits are fairly negligible in comparison.

Maybe if we bring in a dedicated defensive midfielder then we may dispense with the idea.
