Went out for Sunday dinner and am less pissed off about the result now. Gordon and Tonali should never have gone off. Think that was just poor from Howe. Bruno showed more in that game than he has in a little while. think he played well in midfield without creating as much as he can. Still work to get back to his best but not terrible. Almiron's complete lack of a right foot is a liability. He has to put hs chance inside the post if he's not able to threaten with his right foot. Robertson had him pocketed all match. A new RW for me is essential for us to move forward. Or put Gordan out there. I'd even be tempted to play Murphy over Almiron next game. Isak did very little although also didn't receive much service. 1st touch could do with some work Joelinton was enthusiastic but clumsy. Would like to see Anderson given an opportunity to follow on from his pre-season form
Newcastle still have the same poor players that needed replacing, but unfortunately due to them over achieving they've survived.
A couple of observations on the match. At 11 a side you were outplaying us and causing lots of problems. When VVD went, I thought we would lose 2 or 3 nil. We took our chances, you did not and if you had gone 2-0 up it was game over. Your substitutions were bizarre. You have a great home record ( apart from playing us) and you are going to find a lot of teams will park the bus and try to hit you on the break. You need to learn to cope with that. It was a strange game and we got the breaks in the end. I think Barnes will do well for you. Finally, to the earlier poster who identified a Liverpool supporter among the home fans, it’s a free country, he paid for his ticket, we are all football supporters and it’s not a war
Firstly, need to bare in mind Liverpools wage bill is £140m compared to our £62m. So you are gonna have better players. They played to stiffle us in mid field and hit on the counter and it worked. Izak hardly got a kick. He was in on goal so vvd brought him down. Had no other choice or its a goal. Even down to ten men we couldn't get at them. Klopp played tacticle and it paid off. We'll be back, just need a bit of luck up front. We won't be playing the likes of these every week.
check the laws of this country / FA It is an offence to purchase tickets in the opposition fans area but I suspect like others you don't think the Law applies to you
Bingo I tried saying Liverpool have better players but was told otherwise. Despite our players failing Yesterday you've got to understand that Liverpool won that game through great finishing and staying in the game.
We play 433, in exactly the same way, throughout the game and regardless of opposition. We have paid more for Barnes than Murphy so he comes on every game at the same time for Gordon. We have Longstaff who plays where Tonali plays so comes on every game at the same time. We have Wilson on for Isak, same time, regardless. And nothing changes. We are far too safe and predictable. Defeat to Brighton will be interesting snd, dare I say, likely.
No doubt he should have thrown the kitchen sink at pool after 30 mins but unfortunately they opted to take their time.
I'm still pissed off at Howe. Replacing Tonali, Gordon and Joelinton and handing the game to those scouse ****s. Also Miggy - that ****ing smile and giving 100% doesn't cut it anymore. He missed a ****ing sitter. He should have been hauled off not Gordon.
What does Liverpools wage bill got to do with Howe hooking off Tonali and bringing on Longstaff and the out n out replacement of Gordon off Barnes on? It's just ****ing laziness Man should be depressed this morning
Tonali was controlling midfield. It also freed up Bruno. No coincidence that Bruno was ****e after Tonali went off. Gordon - ****ing joke. Miggy should have been off for Barnes. Longstaff - sooner Willock is back the better.
It was a nightmare all round, that was exactly how not to play against 10 men. It happened when we played Everton away two seasons ago aswell, how come we play with such high intensity against 11 then no intensity against a man less. Bizarre.
