I think we only need another striker if Stewart buggers off. I doubt people will have ay the money for him so stuck with the numbers we’ve got and hope Mayenda settles quicker than Hemir. The extra centre mid and a competitor with Roberts and that would do me

 

It's now even more difficult to sign another striker.

He'd have to risk fighting for a place with Stewart, Mayenda, Rusyn, Hemir and possibly a loan...

... few, who we could afford, would take that risk.

Unlikely as he ikes to get forward but could Alese do the centre mid. He's a big physical athletic lad. Possibly a bit lackadaisical at times but I am sure that will be knocked out of him.

I love having him in the team and agree, to a degree, with what you say.

I'd say Ballard and Batth are better set piece defenders and, now we have more height in the team, his role is less vital ... we didn't concede on Saturday.

And don't forget he went eight games without scoring , at a critical time, in L1 which almost cost us the play-offs.

It may be that his injury, which will possibly affect a key part of his play, is a bigger factor than we realise ... hope not.

Signing Rusyn is definitely a relief and the right kind of striking option to add to the squad. Ideally, a Ross Stewart contract extension follows and we're set up front for the next few years. If Stewart goes this week (and isn't replaced), it'll be a disaster.

We still need to get at least 2 more in by Friday, in my opinion.

A defensive midfield option is paramount and I'd also like to see another attacking option on the wing. Playing Ba there at the weekend, showed that we really lack depth in that position.

Ba's best position is as a number 10 in my opinion. We have Dack, Bellingham, Pritchard, Ba and arguably Embo who all play best in that role, and only Bennette as cover on the wings (perhaps Gooch too).

I'd sell Pritchard to fund a CDM, not because I don't rate him, but because we have several options that the club prefers. Rak-Sakyi would be my preference for a winger on loan to provide a bit more depth.

 

You are bang on with regards wingers. We play two always but really only have two who are good enough. Maybe Rusyn being a CF who also plays LW as well is a wise buy as he could play in the same team as Rosco.
