This is what fat ignorant tw*t had to say on us and Pardew today:

“I thought he was doing a good job at Southampton and I was very surprised when he was sacked.”

“He hasn’t really surprised me, he has a lot of experience and he’s managed teams in the Premier League before and done well.”

“I think a lot of people looked at the Newcastle squad and saw the players that left and the players that came in and thought they would struggle, myself included.”

“But I didn’t know a great deal about Tiote and Cabaye in midfield and they’ve formed a brilliant partnership and that’s the heartbeat of the team.”

“Best and Ba have chipped in with goals and they’ve been solid at the back, but no I’m not surprised at how well Alan’s done since he was appointed.”

“Steven Taylor is very good. I think there’s probably a few players ahead of him at the moment but certainly if he carries on the way he’s been playing this season he won’t be too far off the England squad.”

Sounds like he may be open to eating his words, well seeing as he eats everything else in sight...

However, one blatant point, he didnt know too much about Tiote in midfield?..........this says everything you need to know about what he knows about us as a team considering Cheick's quality season last year. What is he? A pundit who is paid to watch football matches every week? Oh wait..

    Clown.

Be fair here - the guy has admitted he was wrong which is more than some 'experts' who just continue to stubbornly stick to their original plan that we're terrible and will lose week in week out.

He is an idiot! Plain and simple. The only pundits I listen to is Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher

The only thing pundits knew about Tiote last season was that he loves a booking, his undoubted brilliance was only noticed by us folk who noticed he carried Kevin Nolan in a 4 4 2.

Nevilles amazing, but I'm also warming to Martin Keown who like Neville is a lot cleverer than he looks.

    Jamie Redknapp surely?

I like Neville a heck of a lot more as a pundit I think he's really great actually.

So you are calling him a fat ignorant twat and a clown after he has spoken well about us and admitted he misjudged us; does that mean you think he is wrong and that we are crap?

I few pundits have now admitted they were wrong about us such as Le Tissier, Neville, Redknapp, even Merson has being pretty fair with his last few predictions.

Let's be honest here, who isn't more than impressed with what we have done this season?
Can anyone admit that they thought we we're going to have this many points at this stage of the season?
Aren't we all a bit like these pundits in thinking that we wouldn't be as good as we are?

I understand some (Merson and Lawrenson) have still failed to see how well we have done, but atleast Le Tissier is admitting we are proving him wrong...as well as the team have improved me wrong (and I'm sure a lot of you as well)

If he doesn't surprise you then why have you predicted his side to lose almost every game this season?

Well done for eating all that humble pie Matt.

I never thought I'd say this, as I've had him down as a right twat for a number of years, but I reaally like Gary Neville. Has he done his coaching badges? Whereas I couldn't see him as a manager, he'd make a great coach somewhere because he has a really good tactical understanding of the game. I'd much prefer he stays on TV of course so I don't have to listen to messrs Gullit and Souness who clearly know **** all.

To be fair Martin Keown wouldn't have to be that intelligent to be cleverer than he looks. He looks like there has been too many cousins marrying in his family history.

I'm not sure what the problem is. He's said he was wrong.

Plenty of people on here were concerned about the strength of the team and thought we'd get relegated, including yourself I think Bano. Can't really fault the media for sharing that opinion.

That's a fair point by Tiss, at least he's ate his own words. Redknapp, Keown and Neville are all sound and really know their football. You can tell they actually watch plenty of games whereas Merson et al seem to watch some hilights and check The Sun ratings page.

Redknapp and particularly Neville have really surprised me overall.

"Least correct TV pundit: Soccer Saturday's Matt Le Tissier, who tipped Fernando Torres to finish top scorer. Special mention to his cohort Paul Merson, who said after Torres signed for Chelsea that the Toblerone-booted Spaniard would "score more goals than Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll put together.""

    Won the award.
