Well after two supposedly relatively easy games at home, we face a trip to Oxford, a ground where we haven't been very successful recently. None of the many injuries seem set to return to the bench this weekend, but we do have a new loan signing from Wolves, who hopefully can set up a couple of chances for Alfie May to convert. At the back, cutting out the silly mistakes would give us a head start as we are fina at the back except when the other team scores...which is a pretty regular event since Orient.
Given how Charlton often seem to enjoy upsetting the form book, I wouldn't rule out a draw or even a sneaky away win. But we are going to need to up our game to d that, And after Holden kept Asimwiie on the pitch last week a good fifteen minutes after he looked shot, some better man management from the touchline wouln't go amiss either.

They have won 3 from 4, we have lost 3 from 4(in the league). A difficult afternoon awaits.

Other teams seem to defend better as a team, and have numbers back quickly when we counter attack, and they find space when they counter. That must change.

It seems other Clubs have worked us out after just three weeks. Three months would be a more average time for most.

Our only chance against Oxford is that they have an off day and we mug them.
That's not how it's supposed to be.
Any team on a realistic promotion push (not a pipe dream built on lies) should be going toe-to-toe with the likes of Oxford Utd and beating them out of merit. Not hoping to pick their pocket and run away.

It's quite simple- work hard, pressure their back 4, double up on CBT, send a few long balls over the midfield and wait until their defense gives the ball away.

    Isted,
    Jones, Elerewe, Ness,
    Asiimwe, Dobbo, Anderson, Edun, CBT,
    May, Kanu.
A young team. Elerewe is an outstanding prospect.
No complaints from me about this team, I think we can get a result.

We've not been at the races, according to the commentators. Could have been more already.

    I see we've got off to a flier <doh>
I wonder what Bexleyboy will have to say...

    Ref's fault I expect.
9's and 10's all round for our team <laugh>

I'm not sure if we're already in the bottom 4, should all relevant games end with the scores as they are now.
    I know that's unlikely.
But so is a Charlton comeback it seems.

That is ugly. Away fans will usually defend the pride of the Club.
We must have been awful for the fans to turn on them.
