Quick reminder that we're not that great on free kicks that you can have everyone bar the kitchen sink in their final quarter.
Our 3 underperforming today are the 3 forwards. Bright enough, but little confidence and nothing happening for them.
Just hope the ref is consistent when we respond in kind. Tbh Bournemouth are trying to rattle us ... Will be a real test for us to stand our ground rather than get rattled
Once again, let me remind everyone that we were linked to Bissouma in the summer of 2018 when he was still at Lille...
Captains should be periodically reminding the ref when opposition fouls are tallying up with no cards shown.
Running out of patience with him. All the : strugglers ' from last season have upped their game so far this. He hasn't.
Nearly punished for a stupid free-kick, there. Dumb. 1-0 HT. Decent performance, but we're not creating enough and the front 3 aren't on it. Dominated the midfield and played some very nice football at times, though. Bournemouth committing a lot of fouls. A lot.
...or, in the case of Slippy G, periodically reminding the ref that it;s definitely not a dive if he or one of his teammates falls over in the penalty area
Kulusevski is no speed merchant, though he can hold the ball up better than Richardson. Richarlison, again. Another appalling half. Bournemouth poster boys for the spirit of professional sports. If they’re too good for you, hurt them. Maybe they won’t be too good on one leg. Not unrelatedly, Spurs lost their zip and tried to give the lead away towards the end of the half.
I am just happy to see our players being able to use their talents. The robotic days of the last few years are not missed.
Kulu is slowing the game down too much. Have to say the midfield trio are phenomenal though. Sarr in particular given his age. But Biss and Madders are just electric.
We are a long way from the finished article but a long way ahead of the last 4 years. We need to remember pochettino's first season ... lots of great football ... lots of mistakes but it laid the ground work for 2016-19
Really poor from Son as captain at the end of the half. Did nothing regarding the constant fouling except look noticeably discouraged. Bournemouth nearly equalized a moment later.
I contend that season 2 is where a decent Spurs manager shows their worth (season 1 is a rare bonus) . Since BMJ was appointed my thesis is looking quite robust.
