No standouts...if pressed... 1. Greaves 2. Seri 3. Delap Tufan never recovered from the knock....Vaughan looked lively, but sadly as no swerve to take him on the outside. Always comes inside and is easily closed down, ditto Twine.
No standouts. Great cross from Delap and finish by Tufan but that was about it in terms of quality for the rest of the game.
Ingram - With the playing out bollocks at the back, he must be loving the goalkeeping practise when we lose the ball and bring them on. Delap - SHOULD NOT have been taken off. Traore should have been the first one off. He was not at the races. Coyle - Worked hard despite nothing happening with Adama in front of him. A lovely big crowd, Upper West above us in good voice too. I do support LR but that was a very frustrating watch ... Nigel worked us out and adapted accordingly. Too many square pegs in round holes, and we need a right nasty bastard in the middle of the field. We'll get there... keep the faith!
Delay. Led front line well & fantastic cross for our goal Seri. Only one in the midfield who wanted the ball off our defence (Slater did a lot of pointing) Tufan for scoring a well taken team goal Fair result, could have gone either way. But not a top 6 performance tonight. Two ongoing challenges Still have some systematic issues with our line up tonight not fitting the style of play Rosey wants to play (left back, right wing, left wing & second midfield ‘pivot’ being non specialist players there). Hopefully this changes in next couple of weeks. Can see how Rosey’s style can get rewards, but the current pace and indecision we play out from the back through midfield, is FAR too slow for this system to be effective enough. When we do occasionally speed it up we create really good chances.
Ingram - (Good with feet and saves!) Jones - (Assured, always accurate with his passes and often picks a pass between the lines) Seri - Never flustered, when both teams were giving the ball away in the second half it was always Seri that out his foot on it
