There's an obvious reason for that!
Having said that, Jones's pass for Connollys 2nd was sublime; hopefully he/ they will try it more often now.

Bristol City fan here-my two pennies worth first home game against Preston very average and Preston deserved the draw neither side deserved to win
Millwall away Bristol City backed on by a sold out away end were by far the better side from minute one to the last minute and deserved the three points.
Saturday's home game against Birmingham we were shocking as a team from minute one again to the last minute and Brum deserved the three points.

Friday night if the team turn up that played Birmingham you will beat us by two/three goals if the team that turn up that played and beat Millwall away a draw is on the cards.
I was at your ground season before last you beat us then and of course the horrendous day at Wembley when you won the playoff final. Gotta be the worst place ever when you lose a match of that magnitude just wanted Wembley to swallow me up.
Have a good season guys hopefully we can get something Friday :emoticon-0148-yes:

Cheers Red Robin. I’ve always had a high opinion of Bristol City fans since that Wembley final.

Have you managed to replace Scott yet? If not, what do you think your club will do with the money? Hopefully we are playing you at the right time before you spend it!

Also, do you think Weimann will be available? He’s a player I’ve always rated.

We have brought Knight in from Derby -just signed Taylor Gardiner-Hickman yesterday from West Brom initially on loan costing us £700k with a provision to buy for 1.3 million at the seasons end a try before we buy -great business.

AW has been injured probably on the bench Friday had a run out in the u21 earlier in the week.

The club has been going through two years of cost cutting to meet FFP regs -Nigel Pearson has done that and kept us in the championship-hands tied behind his back -the 25 million for Scott and the 12 million for Semenyo are pretty much untouched.
Tommy Conway is out injured so were missing a NO9 ON THE PITCH we are hoping Nige will bring someone in before the window shuts as apart from Harry Cornick our forwards are small-Saturday putting the ball into the box the Brum defenders were just dealing with the ball easy.

We have a couple of other new faces that came in early doors but all need settling in and the players playing as a unit.

The corresponding fixture at Ashton Gate has also been moved to a Friday night....Now two days before Christmas eve, better chance of getting home before the country comes to a full-stop, but do check.

The phrase 'Ship Shape and Bristol Fashion' relates to Bristol's high tidal range. Ships moored in the harbour would be aground at low tide and, because of their keels, would fall to one side. The landlord of the Bull on North St purchased a live tiger from a ship docked in the harbour to drum up new trade at the pub. As the interest in the tiger dwindled, Martin paid a man, Joseph Kiddle, to enter the cage with the tiger, which promptly ate him.

Interesting. I think the pace of Cornick could pose a problem for us but we’ll see. I forgot about Semenyo - he looked awesome last time I saw him. Will have to Google and find out how he’s getting on.

I looked over at your board and there’s a lot of negativity. It’s pretty much the opposite to how I feel about our season but you never know how it’s going to go in the Championship on match day. Anyway may the best team win on Friday night and good luck for the season after that! <cheers>

Archie Leach was brilliant in North By Northwest and To Catch A Thief.
A guy I was at university with told me at least ten times that Cary Grant was born in Horfield and lived two doors away from his granddad … forty odd years on and I remember **** like that and yet when Mrs LT asks me to put the bins out … mind blank!
