Yes, I saw Gifton on the promo for it. Love Gifton, he’s a really good guy. Both Seb and Matej have photos he signed with personal messages for them on the walls in their rooms.

Whether or not it did the two young ones any good or not is open to conjecture. Jordan Fankwe is currently with Salford City U21s and the not-so-young Alfie Young has been doing the rounds of non-league clubs - currently with Lewes. I think his opportunity has been and gone.

 

I see Mr Integrity's Celtic were knocked out of the Scottish League Cup this afternoon - losing 1-0 at Kilmarnock.

I'm not one to hold a grudge - but serves him right...

 

So has already failed then really compared to last season.

 

Goalkeeper Ben Foster has announced his retirement from professional football, he made 12 appearances for Wrexham since returning to the Club on March 23

I think he realises that he's probably past it - conceded 12 goals in his 3 league appearances this season.

 

I don't know what the squad is like there, but perhaps he was told he would be dropped for the next game and replaced as number 1? I could understand he doesn't see much point being number two keeper.

Probably wants to concentrate on his podcast and media work .

Least Wrexham get time to bring a new keeper in.

Shame some of our fans had a real downer on him at the end .

I still can't believe how well Tufan appears to be doing there. I think it shows how toxic the team was that it made players look worse being in a Watford shirt. No way I could imagine him scoring a hat-trick for us!

 

Sad news indeed. My first Watford hero!

Watford have been spoilt with the quality of goalkeepers at the club. There is little doubt he was up there with the best. At least George Kirby got one thing right by signing him. RIP Andy.

 

Well, it’s pretty obvious I adored him. He wasn’t huge, but he made up for that with great athleticism , always able to tip over the bar stinging shots from near or far/tip round the post always at full length. I have great memories of him. My first Watford keeper and will stay with me forever.
