I'm more excited with it being a permanent as it means he's our player to develop and he'll be fully focussed on being here.

Im not by any means saying he’s a bad signing just not really sure what the over reaction when it was revealed yesterday is all about. Looks a decent signing that’s about it.

Genuine question, but what player that you think we could sign would excite you?

Well done for bringing some reality to the party, much the same this time last year when we were signing the next messi, ronaldo, players who had played in the premier league but were only emotionally challenged but Rosey would give them a shoulder to cry on, a sympathetic ear and rebuild their careers and if all else failed we bought them all cheap and would be able to move them on for a profit if by some minor miracle it didn't work out.

Someone like Dan James or maybe even that lad at Sunderland would be socks off level.

I think this Philogene looks an exciting player and a good signing but the reaction is a bit Man City - Robinho hopefully the player don’t turn out the same way.

I think you will find i was one of the few who thought he was a good signing at the 1st time and before this season too.
The majority thought he was trouble and troubled, unfit and over weight. It must be some diet he was on for in one week he went from humpty dumpty to be the one who was fit enough to do the running in behind blackburns defence and getting two goals. Oh and if i remember they were both one on one with the keeper, when did we last have anyone that could put them away in that situation?

It also doesn’t come close to overshadowing the Twine signing for me. Only the fact it’s a permanent, but Twine is definitely the more exciting in playing terms.

Think Twine is more technical, Philogene is more a bums off seat player

Happy with them both though. Think we’ll see the shape change soon

I agree. The thing with Philogene, he is anything but safe with the ball at his feet. Similar to Vaughan, he will attempt to take on the defender (how a winger should be IMO) and looks to have (or want to have) the skills of Jay Jay. He’s what we were crying out for in the Blackburn game until they scored/Connolly came on.

Philogene is more dynamic he will create openings for other players with his skills especially dribbling and going past other players, he also is better defensively compared to Twine who obviously has his own attributes, Philogene often takes the ball from his own defence after making crucial tackles .

Also can't see us following up on Sakyi if Philogene does come in.

So why are you mocking the signing?

What signing am i mocking? What i do find silly is the extreams, just like when we lose we are rubbish and going to get relegated but when we win we are going up. I am sure you will remember the hype over the signings this time last year and its happening again now even though we appear to be stuck with some of those from last year who turned out to be less than anticipated.

Philogene is a class above any other winger we have at the club. This lad can play.

I do remember, and I remember downplaying it, just as I did when we signed the definitely not sick note Vinagre. Think we're allowed to be excited when it's due though.

It was said they was before but it also said Philogene wanted to come here.
