Thank you for the heads up, my daughter isn't great on her feet and due to having no concept of danger this one may need trying next time. If we can get to the beach and on some walks where she doesn't run off or trying to swim I will be happy
We've decided on a castle just outside Tarbert, top of the Mull of Kintyre, no travel agents, foreign travel so less chance of being let down again. Mind were off to The Algarve in April, must be soft in the head, hoping lightening doesn't strike twice
Just been over your neck of the woods for a couple of nights in van. Manesty, other end of the lake from keswick.
The picnic area at Ingram Valley is safe, the River Breamish runs alongside it but you can park away from it to make it safer.
My daughter can find running water with her eyes shut, it's very much a case of slowly, slowly with her till she (me) build up confidence. The joys of having a daughter with special needs. If she manages the week without trying to escape the caravan or wander off with random people I will be over the moon
Good luck with that! I’ve got four grandkids, absolute bag of nerves when they’re running about. Most enjoyable time of your life with kids, possibly you don’t realise at the time. Whatever, enjoy yourselves
I wouldn't swap her for the world mate. She's an absolute 100% diamond, I wish I had her ability to see the best in everything and everyone
What a fantastic philosophy, it’s a shame everyone’s not like that. Love your family mate, that’s all that matters.
The folk that would do that, are a far worse person than your daughter. People like that, haven’t been brought up right. Sounds like your daughter has been raised with decent values
I have so many fond memories of Tarbert. Have a pint for me in the Islay Frigate if it's still going. What a magical place, I'm jealous.
