Wonder if McCormick and Vale know / played together at Chelsea 9th in the table after tonight's win 1 point behind Oxford who occupy the last playoff place
What a win. Made it difficult for ourselves at times by not taking our many chances yet again and Ward not getting sent off when sounds like he was actually the last man so had a bit of luck but we didn't stop. Fair shout to the players.
Cambridge tomorrow in our 4th away game from our first 5 opening games. Cambridge have had a good start to the season winning their opening 2 league games but lost on Saturday at home to fellow high flyers Stevenage. Could be a tough game this. They will want to get back to winning ways. But for us, we've only had tough games so far... Portmouth away, Ipswich away, Barnsley home and Charlton away and we are still unbeaten in the league.
Referee: John Busby. He didn't ref any Rovers game last season but he did ref 1 game the previous season in our promotion season. 0-0 home draw Vs Mansfield. He ref'd 1 Cambridge game last season which was their opening game of the season beating MK Dons 1-0. Rovers are currently tipped at 11/8 for the win and Luke Thomas can be backed at 12/1 to open the scoring.
I've just caught up on the ongoings from the first half. Taylor needs to be careful. Booked and then given fouls away since. No defenders on the pitch to replace him.
Rovers to host Wycombe, hoping to return to winning ways after last weekend's defeat to Cambridge. Despite the loss, Rovers have added Hull loanee Ryan Woods to their side and will be gunning for a win against Wycombe in the fifth game of the League One season. Form Guide: Rovers: DLDWL Wycombe: LWLWD Wycombe boss Matt Bloomfield said: “They've done an excellent job in terms of their recruitment as they’ve got a few young boys in on loan along with a few senior bodies too. They're trying to improve and we're aware of their goal threat too as they're a team with good legs about them. It’ll be a tough test as Joey Barton has done a great job there.” Referee: Lee Swabey who was the ref in our 1-0 home defeat vs Accrington last season and also our 2-1 away defeat vs Shrewsbury. He also ref'd 2 games for Wycombe last season. Both 2-1 defeats vs Shrewsbury and Burton. Rovers are currently tipped at 11/10 for the win and Luke Thomas can be backed at 11/1 to open the scoring.
