Great performance from Adam Armstrong second half. Found great space, quickly turned and ran at them, exciting and direct. Think we’ve seen when he plays up top he doesn’t have quick enough feet in tight areas, but saw a new lease of life today.
Stopped for a bite to eat so I'll sum up my thoughts. That's two tricky away games and 6 points taken. Really promising start to the season. Thought we were outstanding 2nd half. The wind may have been a factor but hard to tell from the back of the stand. Edozie's best game in ages. Actually put some dangerous balls in and nearly scored. Adam seems to have found a new lease of life under Martin - he was fantastic today. Charles was my MOTM though, he was certainly our best player in the first half and although he more competition in the second half, he was very calm and assured on the ball. Stu excellent as well.
Well I’m happy with that! This was one of those games that could have been a draw and we turned it into a win, something we have really struggled to do for a long time. 2 away wins against teams with momentum. If we can turn those 1-0 losses into draws and have a few games where we are out of sight by halftime we’re well on our way. I knew Armstrong would come good, didn’t I always say he would be great in the Championship
