Basically, they made an announcement to say that they haven't yet decided what to announce about Rapey McRapewood.

That statement sounds very much like they are going to allow him to play.

Will be carnage ... protests off and on the pitch ... he needs to go abroad ... Afghanistan would likely suit best ... <whistle>

    100%

“Partial evidence”, “at the club since he was seven and as a new a father”, they’re trying to humanise him despite the fact he’s a vile animal ****.

Only hope is that if he does come back, a few players will be more than happy taking a red by two footing him… all at once ideally.

I really hope United don't do the unthinkable.

And Mason needs to watch his step - a lot of blokes would have no problem given him a major beating.

There won’t be any on the pitch and off the pitch it will be minimal. Over 12m people have viewed the official story on Twitter (X) and only 8,000 comments on the story, with about a 50/50 split on supporting/condemning the decision.

Paul Gascoigne admitted to beating his wife for two years in 1994, and the entire country cheered him on during Euro 96. Maybe times have changed since then but football fans fast forget things in general.

There will be social media backlash, and a minority of fans will turn on the club either temporarily or forever, but money talks in football and the Glazers see him as a valuable asset.

Maybe a new owner will decide to get rid but the Glazers will see this as an opportunity to save £100m on another forward.

It's the sexual assault/rape that makes this a little different but I think you're right, nobody gives a **** anymore and it's more important to rant online then actually do something about anything.

He’s not kicked a ball in almost two years, if he doesn’t get back to his previous levels in training he could be finished and it will be an even bigger disaster for the club. For that alone it’s not worth the hassle.

He needs cut loose, he’s in no position to legally challenge any decision the club makes, so just bin and move on. It’s tough on the existing players as well, wtf are they supposed to do? They’ll get tarnished by association every time one of them shares a pitch with him.

Money though innit - you can buy morals nowadays.

Get a few quid on Norwich if you still can. We’ve picked a hilariously awful team.

Think you are underestimating it ... just look at the David 'Notso' Goodwillie case ...bloke is now a football pariah on these shores despite no criminal conviction and always having maintained his 'innocence' ... but only time will tell, Tel...

Fair point Fosse, hopefully we won’t need to find out, but that club statement has rotten Glazer fingerprints all over it, so it looks like we will have to see.

City without KdB and Gundogan look a bit toothless.

I was thinking that, no decent crosses coming in, Sevilla can defend this all night long unless City change something.
