Wakey are in northen counties east so a bit below that standard. I am surprised at the good football though. Tonight was a lady ref and she was excellent. Players are not throwing hissy fits like the pros.
Billy, maybe it’s your terminology that makes you come across as though you have something against Farke but he has never “berated” the players publicly. He has explained the situation truthfully when asked. He has tried to shut down the controversy professionally saying he doesn’t want to keep talking about certain individuals, quite rightly he wants to focus on the players committed to playing for Leeds. The only people currently acting unprofessionally are Gnonto and Sinisterra by refusing to honour their contracts and play for the club currently paying their wages yet call themselves “professional footballers”. Look at the contrast between their actions and that of Ward-Prowse at Southampton or in fact our dear old Berra who risked an injury (and got one) to help the club. There is no excuse for not playing even if you’re up for a transfer. I’m still waiting for you to tell me who you would have in place of Farke as you’re clearly not enamoured with him?
Are you sure the club is paying their wages? Wages for what? Striking? I'd ask them every day if they were prepared to play. Say no, & it's a maximum club fine (2 weeks wages still?).
Then they would be in breach of contract. Don't suppose any club would then be allowed to employ them.
Not at all ... I like Farke and I want him to succeed, can't think of any other manager more suitable than him right now ... I'm just concerned that he's starting off badly ... the first thiing he said was expect Leeds to start slowly and the season to be a battle ... if you say this as the manager, then the players WILL start slowly and struggle He added that he can't get things right on the pitch because he needs players ... he then blamed contracts and clauses and claimed it's created a situation where there's no money for transfers because no big fees were coming in ... well; 49ers have the money, they've spent on Ampadu and they set aside £12m for Aarons, so that's not an issue ... the issue now is going to be finding agents who are willing to send their players to Leeds, and no, I'm not being glib There's more to just wanting a transfer with Gnonto and Sini, I guarantee you ... both played their hearts out against Cardiff, and you only have to look at Gnonto's celebration went Cry equalised ... we also knew about Everton's bids two weeks before Cardiff, yet that didn't stop Gnonto form playing and trying Then suddenly the wheels come flying off and our two most talented players want gone, and Harrison does the same ... Adams has a look at Chelsea and the squad starts suffering ... I'm telling you now, Farke's comments about not wanting players with contract clauses has caused a stir, and he needs to fix it ... all I want is for him to focus on the football, leave the contracts to the club and get on with it The environment is becoming very toxic because there are morons who jump on Farke's words because it fits with their abusive agenda Farke can be great for Leeds for the next four years, I want him to be great ... just do your job man, unite the club rather than divide us
Have to say Billy I’ve agreed with all darkest statements on our mess. Harrison and co were always going to go. Only thing that would have kept any of the selfish ****s would have been to double their salaries and bankrupt the club. It’s impossible to motivate the vast majority of supposed top level footballers with anything other than money. In fact only for farmed statement we’d know nothing about the goings on. The 49ers aren’t exactly forthcoming with information. My genuine worry for the club now is Farke won’t even be around for January window
Exactly!! As I said to Elland on a call yesterday, we can't afford for Farke to fail and have to be replaced ... who do we get in? We missed out on Ariola because of relegation, now he's at Bournemouth signing players we wanted If we fail this season, it's going to become very difficult ... the loan players won't want to come back and will have to be sold at a loss or loaned out again ... we won't be able to attract quailty players who can cope with the pressure of trying to get Leeds promoted ... as for Farke's replacement, heaven help us Farke has to do the job now and get us up ... we need him to succeed and I'm backing him but he needs to start helping himself
Again I have to completely disagree. For whatever reason the players were toxic and downed tools on Bielsa and cost him his job. They were then right behind Marsch until they realised he was little more than a cheerleader (then realised he thought they were frightened bottle job’s and downed tools on him). From then on they barely put up a fight relying on their ridiculous relegation clauses handed out like confetti by our ex DOF, I’ll ignore the fact that they had no confidence in their own ability to keep us up they insisted on having them. Then they turn into offended little schoolchildren because we get a manager who tells it straight and calls out the bullshit. Yes (in answer to your post in another thread) Farke knew what he was getting into but, whereas you don’t, I think he is showing leadership by dealing with these pampered little oiks and demanding a set of players committed to the team and asking for the likes of Gnonto to act like a professional. One last question. Would you prefer to keep Gnonto or Farke, which one do you think is more committed to getting us promoted this (or any season). Apologies if this comes over as a rant.
On Bielsa, nobody downed tools ... in his final game vs Spurs players were still running and trying hard right to the final minute, the fit players we had still gave everything ... injuries did for Bielsa, nothing else ... have a look at the team at Man City and tell me it didn't impact badly The subs were: Gelhardt, Drameh, Klich, Klaesson, Cresswell, Summerville, Greenwood, McCarron, Jenkins Gelhardt, Drameh & Klich had all made the bench after injuries, but weren't considered fit enough to start yet ... how on earth people keep throwing mud at Bielsa is beyond me ... our entire season looked mostly like this ... Marsch was very fortunate when he came in that at that exact time Phillips, Cooper and Bamford were all coming back from long layoffs ... that's why I feel Bielsa's sacking was cynical in its timing Farke or Gnonto? Keep both ... they need to sort it out and get on with the job
I wasn’t throwing mud anywhere near Bielsa, he gave us the best football I’d seen in a decade or more. The mudshit is aimed solely at the players (and still is).
The sulky kids under Bielsa at the end were Klich, Llorente, Raphinha, Rodrigo, Firpo. All of them little bitches having a strop when coming off and moaning and batching on the bench afterwards. That was where the cancer started and its been spreading ever since. ****ing spoilt ****s.
