When Bielsa arrived, you didn't think a single one of the players he inherited was quality, and based on performances they weren't

That's my point ... now you think they're quality because Bielsa IMPROVED them ... this is Farke's job, to improve what he has, and what he has is way better than what Bielsa started with

    Fk me, try harder

If club doesn't honour the clause, yes ... the player could sue and get contract voided, leave for free

If the club can't find a taker, no ... player has to suck it up unless he wants to buy himself out of his contract

Thanks. And presumably no if a cut off date exists as suggested by some and has been passed.

Correct ... if cut-off date passes that's that

I'd loan the fcukers to Farsley Celtic if they persisted with this nonsence. Surely they don't have a 'I get to choose which club' clause too?

Emu, if you wish to make this type of comment, at least don't block me so that I have a right to reply ... let's discuss how you think KP in a single pivot is all I know, seeing as you haven't actually backed up your comment with facts

All three examples are when Leeds have already managed to get out of their half and the ball has reached a wide player ... I could have added 572 more examples where Ampadu and Gray are standing next to each other on the D outside their own penalty area every time Leeds have a goal-kick or Meslier has the ball, but there's no point

    EXAMPLE ONE
    IMG_2357.jpeg

This is first half ... Ayling has found space down the right and Brum are facing the wrong way, perfect for Leeds to attack ... look at all the space behind their defence, and with Ayling ahead of the centre backs it's the perfect scenario to get runners in behind and for a chance to be created ... this move actually slowed down, and ended with a deep cross beyond the back post that James needed to control before scuffing a shot that got easily blocked ... so why didn't we get a proper strike on goal?

Gray and Ampadu are well inside the centre circle, which means the rest of the attackers are starting from deeper positions to try and close the gap to build play ... if Gray had been further forward (as you claim) and started from the red X, he would easily have run beyond the defenders into space to get on the end of a quick cross

Look at Poveda, the attacking mid ... he's starting a bit too deep, and if he started five yards further forward from the black X then he too would easily have been in behind the defenders, giving us TWO mids running free into the box ... Joffy would also have been able to start a bit higher, drawing the right sided centre-back to him and creating a massive gape to their right-back

Because both Ampadu and Gray start so deep together, it means we tend to play slower in front of defences rather than getting in behind quickly ... yes, it looks good in terms of keeping the ball and passing stats, but it's not effective ... so far we have faced three teams willing to allow us to play in front of them and trying to catch us on the break, but heaven help us when the likes of Saints and Leicester turn up

    EXAMPLE TWO
    IMG_2358.jpeg

Second half, 0-0, pushing for a goal ... ball has gone wide to James, Ampadu and Gray in centre circle ... Poveda too deep and starting his run too far away to cause danger ... Joffy covered bu four defenders and unable to get in behind ... Shack also ten yards too deep to run beyond the defenders to give James a target to cross to ... if Gray was up where Poveda is, Poveda was up where Joffy is and Joffy was running off the shoulder of 26 behind him, good chance for a goal ... starting to make sense?

    EXAMPLE THREE
    IMG_2359.jpeg

Late on, need a goal ... attack has developed and Byram is on the ball with James in support ... Bham able to smother Byram with an extra defender ... Ampadu and Gray a bit further up but standing still ... Gray is marking their 9 for no reason, because there's two centre-backs behind him to cover ... all this needed was Ampadu in the Gray position and Gray up in the D on the edge of the box ... this would have forced Brum to get their 6 back in defence, giving Leeds a bit more space out wide ... Gray would also have been a threat in the box

It's just not good enough against very average teams and if Leeds continue to give up space and attacking options by using two DMs then promotion won't happen ... I'm sure Farke and his coaches will have seen this, hopefully they change it otherwise WBA will hammer us on Friday as they'll be coming to win, not sit back

Hopefully this helps you to see what I see ... there's a reason why I'm concerned with the team's performances and the toxic environment that's being created ... time to focus on the football and winning games

Emu probably won't see this post, so if someone can alert him to have a look that would be great

I've not blocked you. I wouldn't even know how to do it.

Ampadu clearly has the more defined holding role. Yes Archie Gray sits in next to him as a double pivot but he's not anchored to the role like Ampadu is. Gray has more licence to roam when we are in possession. Ampadu is excellent at reading the game like Phillips was and pops up in the right place at the right time. He covers the spaces left open by the right full back basically becoming the wide right winger when in possession. Calling it a double pivot is lazy, it's like saying Ayling is playing right back when he clearly isn't. It's a fluid system that changes depending on the phase of play we are in.

Poveda is the one who should be getting in the box more as you state. Archie should be picking up loose balls whilst Ampadu makes up the defensive numbers with the full backs pushed on.

Maybe you see the times Gray and Ampadu are next to each other but I see Gray playing through the lines a bit more feeding those like Summerville in that 10 space and makes himself available further forward. Ampadu gives an option further back.

We are 3 competitive games in. Give the manager a little time to get it tweaked. We need a settled squad and gametime together to get it right. You say that you want to support the players but just give the manager some time to figure out his squad.

You really do get narky don't you.

I've no need to try harder if you think that squad Sat plus any that are due to return are much better than what we had when Bielsa arrived then you are wrong. Not saying Bielsa's squad was far superior to this one but not a chance they were worse, even accounting for the improvement Bielsa got out of them.

Narky? Not at all ... just don't understand people who make comments but don't support them

I'm happy to be educated, show me exactly why you don't agree ... but don't make banal comments because you enjoy the manager rubbishing players in public ... that's how the trolls behave, look at that stupid sign put up at Thorp Arch for a clue

Well done Daniel Farke ... I now understand his thinking, he seems to have handled the situation superbly ... incoming transfers have all been top notch too, exactly what's needed

I'm behind our manager all the way, humble pie enjoyed with a smile

Gracias Marcos ... I'd rather be wrong and Leeds succeed ... I was just trying to understand our manager, and now that I do I can confirm he's much better than the Ghandi-quoting motor mouth who followed Bielsa
