Which is your opinion and its only an opinion, like mine is, it won't hurt these players to be told a few home truths. And let's not forget as you like to mention him a lot, we had a few players who reputedly wouldn't sign for us because of Bielsa's training methods with folk saying if they can't take it, then **** em, we dont want them, so I'm saying the same about the precious ones.
Never heard of a single player not wanting to sign for Bielsa because of his training methods ... show the proof please Publicly criticising players never ends well ... don't be surprised if Summerville is next to want away from Farke ... he's creating a huge problem for himself, needs to stop Me, I will support every single player who's at the club, regardless ... they have my unconditional backing until they've actually left ... digging them out and flinging abuse at them serves no purpose, it tarnishes the club and poisons the environment ... that's not the way to support your club
Totally agree. Farke's going to build a tight knit squad who want to win and succeed. There'll of course be casualties along the way because some won't want to commit to what's required.
Where is this flinging of abuse and digging out that you speak of Billy ? I've watched every press conference and post match interview that Farke's done and not seen or heard anything like that. In my opinion he's conducted himself in a calm and professional manner in difficult circumstances.
I also think Billy is forgetting about how Bielsa dealt with Janssen, also very publicly about how a player should not show disrespect to the coach
Billy's statue....a fitting name for any supporter and one of the very greatest who ever donned the shirt who would never have done what the overpaid, overhyped tossers have done...can you honestly imagine Billy leaping ship if he had been one of the causes of relegation, because it's ultimately up to the players once they cross the line, tactics and managers obviously differ but come on if you can't ****ing pass a ball, tackle, shoot and follow instructions then your robbing a living....and I'm sorry but the players are the major reason we're where we are and they need calling out and some purple nose hairdryer treatment... didn't do him any harm, the soft
The public thing he did was agree that the player could be sold ... he didn't banish him or move him out of the group, he didn't tell the press he was a mercenary Farke is going about things the wrong way
Let me share a little fact with you from conversations I was lucky enough to have had with the legends that are Eddie Gray, Allan Clarke and Peter Lorimer They all stated that in their day players were paid pretty much the same at 95% of clubs because that's just how it was ... clubs generated their own money and there wasn't much difference between First and Second Division wages, which is why a player like Keegan was happy to drop down a division to play for Toon (he coached me at Cape Town City in 1977 just as he was moving to HSV, which he admitted did for the big salary upgrade) Gray, Lorimer and Clarke all said that the money players are getting since Prem started is frankly ridiculous, but they would have loved being able to play in the Prem era as it would have meant they'd be set for life rather than seeing so many legends from the game in their era having to resort to selling medals and international caps Not one of them said they would have turned down a transfer if it meant doubling or tripling their wages ... what they did say was that if a big money move came about then it would have been to a club that was set up for winning trophies, and that would have made the move easier The romance of the 60s and 70s when you had a plethora of once-club men is long gone ... Bremner's family would not have allowed him to stay at Leeds if he had the chance to make millions elsewhere, it's naive to believe that ... the legends I spoke to made it clear they would have cashed in as well and secured them and their family's financial futures There it is, money talks whether we like it or not, and I doubt even Revie would have stayed at Leeds if Arsenal offered him £5m more to become their manager
Sorry mate you’re wrong. I think it was in the post match interview when Janssen didn’t want Villa to walk the ball in he made comments about not respecting the coach, I can’t remember the exact words. He then pretty much didn’t feature for Bielsa and was left out of the playoff games against Derby (if memory serves, I’ve tried to etch that from my mind). Jansen bear in mind wasn’t refusing to play to force his way out of the club and hold the club to ransom unlike the (Farke) correctly described mercenaries.
yes, I was unhappy with his performance that game, but I didn't say he's a cnut who should fk off rom the club ... I continued to support him as long as he wore the White shirt try again
Janssen leaving wasn’t anything to do with the Villa game. It was to do with Bielsa’s philosophy that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, where no one player is more important than another. When Janssen returned to training a week later than the rest of the squad, thinking he was indispensable and deserving of special treatment, a deluded sense of self importance - he was ****ed off to Brentford in a cut-price deal.
He was entitled by law to his week off due to being on international duty. Bielsa got rid of a good player for next to nothing.
so if they where virtually all paid the same there was no need to jump ship then, and romantic or not those where far better days and proper players who played with the club and fans at heart...now obviously back then if someone had broken the pay mould and suddenly said ,'hello yes that's correct i said per week, not year ' then any player would have done it ...today it's kiss the badge one week and then kiss my the next....more's the pity
